Returning for the first time in five years, The Classic BRIT Awards will celebrate the growing appeal of classical music from film, television, theatre and games. This glittering ceremony will be hosted at the Albert Hall by Myleene Klass and Alexander Armstrong and will be packed with some of the greatest musicians in the world including Michael Ball & Alfie Boe, Andrea Bocelli, Welsh bass-baritone Sir Bryn Terfel and winner of Britain’s Got Talent 2017 Tokio Myers, plus more still to be announced.
Tickets go on sale to the general public via the Albert Hall’s website on Friday 23rd March at 9.00am.

Well that's a turn up for the books; I thought the Classic Brits were dead and buried. Now, how do we get Hayley nominated so that she has to turn up?

Well that's a turn up for the books; I thought the Classic Brits were dead and buried. They probably are John compared to the time when they were truly classical. Tickets have also increased in price, the better seats now costing £50 plus booking fee. But I suppose with the likes of Andrea attending (even though he might only perform one classical piece) the price is not too bad. Formal attire required though! Martin

I payed £45 six years ago. I thought they might be more than £50 by now.

Well, she might be invited. She may not have a recent album, and her next album may not be very classical at all, but since she used to go quite often, maybe they'll still invite her. It probably also depends on what else she has scheduled for this year.

Invites do not necessarily have to come from the Classical Brits organisers since some invites come directly from an organisation such as Universal Music (they have allocated tables). However, in Hayley’s case that would need to assume that she is still with Universal! Martin

Yes, I paid a significantly higher price to see Andrea in concert this June!! Also, the last time I saw him, I was in a farther away seat, and the price was still higher than these "better" CBA tickets. I think my Andrea concert will be the better one, though, and well worth the price. And, after all that, I'm still anticipating Sarah Brightman's tour, where I expect to spend at least as much as I have for Andrea.

Hmm... Any ideas who would be a good candidate for presenting this award? But, the question is, will they choose her?

Well, she didn't attend the concert last year, either, did she? If Hayley were to either present, or even sing (I won't hold my breath), though, she wouldn't have to be there. It is certainly understandable why she would stay home. She's 101, after all!

Last night’s event was superb, in fact the best I have been to - more info later. I did see Kathryn Nash there but did not have the opportunity to speak to her. Also, Sarah Brightman was one of the many surprise award presenters.
