Hello everyone, Well this must be the first time I've been first to the women's magazines but I've just found out that Hayley and Vittorio Grigolo are featured in the new edition of OK! magazine (or is it Hello?) but unfortunately I'm too busy with the video I'm doing and other things right now to go out and check. Anyway, One of my daughters has just phoned to say they are on, if I recall correctly, page 111 of the magazine with a three page article and I will go get the magazine tomorrow evening from her when she's read it, if nobody's scanned it in here first (which is a definite possibility ). Watch this space! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifCheers, Dave

Hi Dave,
Please thank your daughter for finding out about this! We probably would have missed it otherwise. I'll have a look and buy the magazine (Hello or OK...who knows, maybe there are in both!) if I find it.
Stephany

Hello Dave, Stephany and everybody! I had a look at the article during the day, and I can confirm it's in the Food section of OK! I don't have scanning facilities, but I can tell you it's an interesting article over four pages, with some great photographs and Italian recipes. Suddenly I fancy a pizza! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifOK! I've modified the title of this thread to avoid any confusion. Best Wishes, Richard

Hi folks, As promised, I bought 'OK' and scanned the magazine. Great article and gorgeous pictures! The format was too big for my scanner but I tried my best. Stephany

Hi Stephany Looks like a great article and great pictures but I'm not going to read the scans as I shall go and buy myself a copy tomorrow. That's if it ever stops raining!! Best wishes Grant P.S. I think you may have forgotten to reduce the quality of the images - files look a bit large and took a while to open. Don't want to upset Dave now do we?

I reduced the quality of the images and I hope it is better now Stephany Hi Stephany Think you reduced the image size but they're still very big files. I think you need to "save as" low quality to reduce the size of the file to 100kb or less (100,000 bytes). Best wishes Grant

Hi again Grant, Sorry if I misunderstood you before and thanks for your patience! This time, I reduced the image quality (and not the size!) Some of the pictures are still slightly above 100KB though. Hope it's 'OK!' for everyone Stephany

Stephany, thank you VERY much for scanning and posting the article from OK! Magazine. I've never seen it around here, but then again I've not looked for it before. Now I will. The article is very interesting and informative.
For those of you who go back as far as I do (2,000 light years!), have you ever listened to the "West Side Story" recordings done by the American singer Johnny Mathis? Tunes such as "Maria", "Tonight" and others. He puts so much feeling into his music. Just curious as to what any of you may think about his talent? Regards, Gene

Thank you for the scans Stephany.
Now I have my own copy. (I can't believe that I bought OK Magazine.)
Who noticed three different dresses, one for each course?

I think you need to "save as" low quality to reduce the size of the file to 100kb or less (100,000 bytes). Best wishes Grant Hi Stephany & Grant, If I may add my 2 Francs worth. (outdated currency) When you're scanning text, its vital to scrutinize the individual letters on your first scan & see if they read distinctly. Better in fact to produce a png file to give you a rescue if somethings unsatisfactory. Once you've done that save it as a jpg file and try around 70% compression....If its still satisfactory, try 60 % & so on down until you see little dimples appearing around the letters. When you see those, go back up till the condition disappears. In a lot of cases you will not be able to achieve the arbitrary 100 kb as every pic is different & has a finite amount of material on it depending on the complexity of the pic. Zoom in high enough to be able to see the individual words. hope this helps, graeme PS Stephany: there's nothing wrong with scanning 2 separate halves & rejoining afterwards....just leave enough overlap for the join & zoom in before you OK the second half so you can merge the 2 exactly together.
