Hi, Currently the mystery group, as far as Hayley is concerned. Didn't watch Letterman's last (after 40 years) TV show last night, so missed seeing Alberta Cross's part. Wish I had caught at least that bit. I read where they did a show up in Libby's neck of the woods a few days ago. (Vancouver, BC) BobS www.facebook.com/albertacrossEdit1: Just found this, so didn't miss their performance after all! en.musicplayon.com/play?v=198246Edit2: On second thought, now doubt that there was any clip of them last night. Their Facebook entry today is probably just their pleasant memory of their bygone performance with Dave.

I still can't help but wonder why and how Hayley came to work with him. We're sure to find everything eventually, but in the meantime... the suspense! Especially now that she refuses to say a word to us. Yet, I still remember when we first read something about Hayley's upcoming album with Ennio Morricone, and for months after, waiting and waiting for more news on the album, and then to find the release wasn't till 2011, instead of Oct. 2010, as they said to begin with. And here it is 5 years later! I have to keep reminding myself how fast time goes, but when you're waiting for something, it seems to take forever.

It's funny that the website featuring Sebastian doesn't mention Jack Savoretti as someone he's worked with, even though wikipedia says Seb is a producer of Jack's latest album (containing the song Written in Scars). So, yes, I now see the Alberta Cross connection,... however, I don't get the Hayley and Seb & Pedro Vito connection. Also, there's still no real indication that Hayley's working with Jack Savoretti. About as real as that Pentatonix thing the other day on twitter. Except that tweet did mention Hayley, so that's more understandable. LOL

So, yes, I now see the Alberta Cross connection,... however, I don't get the Hayley and Seb & Pedro Vito connection. Hi, Wondered about that, too. Went way back on Pedro, but found no connection with Hayley prior to the Hayley-violin picture. In looking back, I noticed that he had retweeted a couple of Beth Rowley posts. Decided to check her out on Wikipedia, and found her to be a singer-songwriter, just a little older than Hayley, a Classic Brit award nominee in 2009, who toured with Ronan Keating, and had a working relationship with Pedro. With that there could be a Hayley connection. So, the trail is too complex for me to follow without facts. I give up! BobS

Well, Hayley did attend the 2009 CBA's, and she did collaborate with Ronan Keating in 2009 for Winter Magic. But, that was all about 5 years ago from when the album work started last year.

Except some of the people she is working with go back further than that with Hayley. I think she is drawing on the whole of her experience, not just the time since her last album (whichever album that was). And what Hayley has done in the past, and what has worked for her in the past is I suspect she thinks, worth repeating.

The question in my post was, and still is, how Hayley happened to hook up with the Savoretti group. From what I have found, and it is pure speculation, Beth Rowley could very possibly have been instrumental in the connection. I find that she has sung publicly several times with Hayley over the last five years or so, and has been tied in closely with the Savoretti group. The factual answer may never be known. Nothing more than a bit of triviality that interests me. BobS

LOL And I think you read too much into someone saying they like an artist that her album helpers have worked with before. Anyway, I am an analytical person, but I would not say I was over-analyzing, just making suggestions based on info you provided. You brought up the Beth Rowley girl. You also brought up 2 things you found that could have related her to Hayley's album friends, and I was making a suggestion as to how it could tie in to Hayley. Far-fetched, I know, but it's all I could come up with. I thought you mentioned it for a reason, but now that I comment on it, it's just meaningless information? Just trying to keep the forum going by participating, is all, and analyzing is just what I tend to do.

Hi Libby, First, all credit to you for being an analytical person. Nothing wrong with that. As for Beth Rowley, I haven't found anyone yet with a better connection to both Pedro and Hayley. There probably could be if the truth were known. BobS

Jack Savoretti. I think you know now. Hi Libby! Well done, I say, for "over-analyzing"! I wish I had your eye for detail...especially when Hayley decides to "send us a clue". You excel at finding coincidences that quite honestly may be all we have to go on.

Indeed, I'm sure Hayley loves setting puzzles and conundrums for us. That we take the trouble to try to solve them shows we are still interested in her, despite her lack of recent activity. That must be good for her to know.
