Hi everyone,
I finally managed to extract the video of You Raise Me Up with Hayley and the school choirs, from the streaming website that I (and Simba!) mentioned, and I think the audio is now synchronized, so to complement Ross's excellent video from the crowd, here it is. I loved the idea of having the childrens' choir from the seven Christchurch schools.
The occasional jerkiness when the camera pans and zooms seems to be part of the online stream, from this part of the World anyway - maybe a framerate thing but I haven't had time to investigate. There are some good shots of Hayley and the choir, and I think the sound is good, though would have preferred the children to have been made slightly louder.

Great work Dave and our man on the ground Ross, well done. Just put a new entry on Wiki You Raise me up in the "Use in popular culture" section, I see Hayley is already mentioned in the "Other Covers" section for Opera Star 2012 Korea Still can't believe they let people like me in there to alter documents  What is the world coming to  Elaine Paige is performing in Dublin's NCH tonight. |

I couldn't stay awake! lol but thanks to Ross, Dave and others I've seen and very much enjoyed it! You can sort of feel the size of the venue in the performance somehow, which made it very epic

I think that is an excellent choice of song, given Christchurch's recent history. Well done Hayley. And thanks again Dave and Ross. That was a special performance. I've heard Hayley sing that song live several times, but it has never come across quite so powerfully before.
