I might be able to go to one of these concerts as my mum's friend is talking about taking us to Dublin and Cork for Christmas his year. I hope we can go, she is a Hayley fan too which is good haha. It will also be my first time on a plane- I find that both slightly terrifying and exciting at the same time haha.

For those who might be apprehensive about flying, planes are just glorified buses, except they are safer (statistically). All that security s a pain I know, but it has a purpose. And as someone whose job involves visiting airports and working airside, I sometimes have to go through that security several times a day. It is an annoyance, but I'm afraid necessary for everyone's safety in this world full of nutters.

Hello everyone! Really excited about this concert and the opportunity of going back to lovely Cork!! I'm going to start planning my journey soon but, before I do, I just wanted to ask those of you who are considering coming too: do you think you'll arrive in Cork on the Friday or on the Saturday? Financially, it won't make much difference to me to arrive either day, so it's just to know if I should just arrive on the day of the concert or if I'll have the pleasure of spending some of Saturday with some of you Thanks! Juliette xx

No definite plans yet, but I am thinking of arriving on the Saturday (as early as I can get there from London) and staying for both nights, travelling home on Monday. It would be nice to meet you again Juliette I will probably wait until I am sure of the concert bookings before making travel arrangements.

Juliette xx Hi Juliette and everyone I've been looking at my options for this one. Unfortunately, I have an important committment on the Friday evening which makes things very difficult. All the outbound flights I have looked at are either very early in the morning or around teatime meaning I would land at about the time you are all queueing for seats at the theatre! had I been able to travel on Friday evening, I would have bought tickets for both concerts, as it is, I may have to give this one a miss and hope for something more local next year. Best wishes Grant

Hi everyone it seems that Hayley's Concert in Cork is a screening of the Snowman! I can't put the image up at the moment but the link to the Cork Youth Orchestra is HERE. It should be a good evening of fun but sadly I might not make it !! Tiger

Any thoughts about Hotels? There is a travelodge that claims to be only haf a mile away, but there are also several others closer than that that don't cost much more. Does anybody have any recommendations? Haven't booked anything yet, since I don't know if I'll be on my own. Or which night to choose. Since the seats are unallocated there is no rush unless they are in danger of selling out. It can wait until I get back from Cornwall.

Hi Martin,
Yes, I saw that one. Looks a good bet. I'll try to sort things out when I get home on Saturday.

Hi all! I haven't planned anything so far but if I travel all the way to Ireland I plan to go to both concerts. The most convenient way is to arrive on Saturday and to leave on Monday. But to do so I will have to ask my boss if I can have a day off. I try to have everything arranged by the end of this week so let's see if it works out. Thomas

Hope to see you there Thomas. It is a long time. I have to decidewhich and how many concerts to go to. Perhpas if I make the effort to get over there I should go to both. But if my grandson comes with me he might get bored. We shall see.
