Creative Connections - Vietnam 15 -17 November

Hi all,

Hayley has been listed as providing entertainment at the 2013 'Creative Connections' conference of Standard Chartered Bank in Vietnam. The conference is set to take place over 15 to 17 November.

After that it seems Hayley will be back in the UK to perform on Saga Pearl II’s Homecoming cruise from Nov 22-25. Hayley's done a few corporate jobs this year, with Brancott Estate, the Rotary Conference and now Creative Connections and the cruise.

I must make a mental note that if I ever become a corporate high-flyer that I should arrange to have my favourite singers perform at all the annoying weekend conferences I have to go to!

It might be a bit like corporate public speaking by celebrities. Hayley may have promoters that circulate her name around and when asking price is met it happens.

Will this be her first time in Vietnam? I know fans have begged her to come there before, but I guess they won't be able to go to this, unless they're "high-fliers", huh? LOL

Yes, I do believe this will be Hayley's first visit to Vietnam.

Don't recall, nor have I found, anything on the forum regarding Hayley's trip to Da Nang on Nov 15th, as per below.
This is mentioned on a HayleyOnline, Sept 7th post.

I mention this because I just heard on the news that the typhoon that hit the Philippines is now headed for Da Nang.

Yes we agreed exceptionally not to post the details in advance, at the request of the Vietnamese organisers (via Hayley's management). They wanted Hayley to be a surprise to the delegates etc., or something. I don't think anyone over here was too happy about it, and I think just the main two forums google-wise were asked (I guess that was the minimum needed to comply). So we agreed to hide the thread until the date Hayley was due to appear but now, it's back again!

Everything's gone very quiet over there, though perhaps it's not surprising for a private event in that part of the World?

Hi Dave,
When I made my first post about Da Nang possibly being in the direct path of typhoon Haiyan, I had not remembered, nor found, Jillian's previous post, which Richard later explained to me, along with the reason, had been removed and locked, as had been mine. That seemed strange to me at the time since the Creative Connection site, found via the posting mentioned on Hayley Online, had Hayley's part spelled out in detail.
I haven't yet been able to find a single word on her performance at Hoi An. I certainly miss Frank Lin's fine Far East reporting. Hong Kong should be fairly well covered.

Hi all,
Am still trying to find anything at all on Hayley's November 15th performance at Hoi An. Have found a tiny bit indicating that the event did not take place at Hoi An. To quote what I have found, (the url is about two miles long), "The attendees were going to enjoy a dinner in Hoi An on Saturday but the city and its renowned Old Quarter were heavily flooded that day, and it was relocated to the resort."
For anyone desiring to see the announcement, I have found that it can be reached in this manner:
Google -ex-pm tony blair delivers speech at da nang event-. (vietnambreakingnews) It is a news item by that title posted under date of November 18. It only shows the beginning of the article, and has a small red mark at the end like this [...]. Click on this, and you'll get the whole story.
Shall now see if I can find anything via Sun Peninsula.
