Hello Joyce! I've just watched the video and Amira Willighagen is incredible. She definitely deserves her own thread, so I've moved your post from the Chat thread. I've found a very interesting article with photographs at Mail Online HERE. Apparently Amira has never had any formal voice training, which is almost unbelievable! Richard

Hi ,
I think in one week, she became a star, all over the world.. Yesterday evening i saw her on dutch television...also the evening before...her performance was on television in New Zealand, i think it was on the BBC too. On Youtube she has over 5 million views...going to 6 million, and what to say about the comment she got from Simon Cowell. This all happens...in just one week.

Natural talent is always a plus. Isn't that why we like Hayley so much? I will say that a little vocal training would certainly be beneficial in the future, and probable, now that she's most likely launched a career for herself.

She certainly has talent but she needs to back off and let her voice develop for a while. Unlike Jackie she sounded strained on some of her notes and I'm afraid it's not good for her.

But at least she sounded halfway natural, but it is probably better for her voice to wait. But, with these talent shows, there's no way they'll wait.

wow !
Almost one and a quarter million views already.
There will be some rush to sign her up and get her recorded and out in the market place. A little bit of guidance and training and she will be something else.
Pity about most of the camera time and microphones being on the talking heads instead of the performer. I know, that's how they sell these shows, but it's also what makes them so irritating to watch.

Tonight Amira appeared in Holland got Talent...the last show before the final, with her 2 nd performance. This time she sung Ave Maria. She made it to the final show...next week. We also saw Amira having a master class...singing session with Andre Rieu wich was recorded in London. www.youtube.com/watch?v=H1HjSCyJXa0Joyce

Blows Jacky Evancho out of the water. Never liked her technique, too fake and forced. This was so pleasing to hear, what a natural operatic tone! Hope she wins too!

THis is a longer version of Amira's performance, including comments of the jury. www.youtube.com/watch?v=uRr6Q1g8s2cBtw Amira's first performance O mio Babbino Caro is a big hit on YouTube...over 17 million views. Joyce

Thanks for sharing, Joyce! Amira gave another incredible performance, and I totally agree with the final judge. I can't help noticing that Holland's Got Talent seems far more genuine and relaxed than other similar talent shows, probably because you-know-who is conspicuous by his absence. Richard
