Did Charlotte and Hayley not see each other at the Big Sing? Their names were listed for the program, or so I saw.

Now for the burning question from the red carpet. Is that a real tattoo on Laura Wright's back? Richard Hi Richard It's a henna tattoo so won't last too long. . It was done in support of the Nordoff Robbins charity which is dedicated to transforming the lives of vulnerable children and adults across the UK through music. Laura is an ambassador for this charity. Martin I can confirm that Laura's back was clean tonight i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif

Many thanks to John and Richard for representing HWI at the red carpet. John, your photos are great!
Thanks to all who have shared all of those grand photos! That shade of red is very eyecatching (dare I say fire-engine red)

No, it's too pretty to be fire engine red. It's richer than that. I wanted to call it wine red, but it may be too bright for that. Not that I see enough wine to know for sure. How about... cherry or strawberry red? That sounds better than a fire engine. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif The designer website seems to think it's burgundy, but I thought burgundy was more brown, but maybe I don't know much about burgundy either. I ring up cans of paint on a regular basis, and I'm always interested to see what fancy name each color has been given, and I sometimes wonder how they come up with the names.

Definitely not fire engine - that was last week (and the wrong shade for British fire engines). Cherry sounds good but I would have called it crimson.

Yes, I thought Hayley's dress was crimson too. I correctly identified the material as velvet the moment I saw it. For more information about the dress, see this post by Jillian. Richard

Two observations from these latest photos: - Hayley is standing next to the table where Cerys Matthews is sat so presumably Steve Abbott is close by! - Is that Dazza I see in photo 2, right at the back over Hayley's right shoulder? i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifMartin

I met him earlier in the afternoon, and later he escorted Cerys to the red carpet. Thanks for posting your photographs, Dazza! Richard

BTW who was that woman in a similar coloured dress behind Hayley in photo 2? I'm guessing she could be the wife of that chap behind Hayley, but I have no idea who he is either. I believe that's Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen behind her left shoulder. Richard
