Thanks Richard! Is anybody going? Quite a few tickets have been sold already! Cheers, Dave This will be the first year I'll be going. To my own amazement, I'm part of the academy panel this year. :/

Is there any chance the song Sleep On could qualify as a single, or is it still too late for that? Hi Libby, Unless they've changed it this year, albums released last year only, will be eligible to be entered, which seems odd these days as the CBA takes place so late in the year now. Singles may be different though, as some of last year's singles were very old (Pavarotti's Nessun Dorma was entered!) so perhaps they have a different selection method... in which case, anything is possible. Sleep on isn't yet a single as such but there's still time for that! Meanwhile, back at the RAH, I will be there Tony, and in a slightly better seat than last year. Cheers, Dave

Thanks. In any case, we at least know she is scheduled to perform at the RAH later this year, even if not at the CBA.

If only I knew if I had a Job then. I really enjoyed the year I went. I was in awe....except for the whole row next to me that I had to myself! If I knew my schedule I'd treat myself to a graduation trip back to London. <3 Caite

Hi
Film music composer Hans Zimmer has been announced as the winner of this year's Outstanding Contribution to Music award at the 2013 Classic BRIT Awards. I hope he bothers to turn up to collect his award unlike last years's winner. Mylene Klass is presenting again and the London Chamber Orchestra will be present.
Strange that no other performers or awards annouced when it is only weeks away on the 2nd October!
Anybody else going apart from Dave?
Cheers
Tony

Don't they usually announce the nominations about a month before at the launch party? It should be in September again, in that case.

Do people sing on the show only if they have an album nominated or won? How does it work? Who goes there?

Hello Simba! It's always fairly random, because the performers are decided well before the nominations. Usually some of the nominees will perform, while other performers won't have been nominated at all. Richard

The launch event was at the Home House Hotel in Portman Square, London, and was attended by Myleene Klass, Amy Dickson and Tine Thing Helseth. There are some Getty photographs of the launch HERE. Richard
