Hello Bob! When you click on the date and time in an embedded tweet, the time zone is also given as UTC, which is the same as Greenwich Mean Time currently in operation here in the UK. UTC stands for Universal Time Coordinated, better known as Coordinated Universal Time. This article gives a detailed explanation: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coordinated_Universal_TimeRichard

Hi, When I was looking at the May 5th post at the site below a few days ago, I missed an even better post on October 30th, 2014. Hope I was the only one who missed it! BobS www.jefffranzel.com/index.html

For Google Earth fans the rooftop garden can be found at :
51 deg 32'30.78" N 0 deg 07'29.60" W
It currently appears as 6 white 5m X 5m square parasols and measures about 50 feet by 30 feet.
you can drop into street view and see it without the canopies and with the grass covering on the vertical surfaces.
In a major city a space this size in the sun is a fine asset and not to be sneezed at.
It wouldn't be unusual to have two city style houses built on a site that size in any major city in Europe.

That wasn't the case on Dec 3 though! Martin D

So now we know there are at least 2 songs co-written by Jeff Franzel for Hayley's new album, and now, possibly more. Or, more work on the original 2? Maybe back then was lyric-writing, and now composition? No clue how any of this works. LOL

Hello Libby, Isn't it brilliant to know that Jeff has contributed and is likely to do more songs with hayley! Most of her best originals are with Jeff, Summer Rain, Peace shall come, All with you....Never saw blue too? I think they're a match made in heaven, whatever amount of work he did, he sure knew Hayley's voice and her capabilities well. This has to be the most exciting news for me of the new album. Regarding the composing and writing lyrics, musicians generally do it both ways, but almost always do they do it together one after the other, unless both are done by completely different people. I'm sure when they mean write, they mean both, so this is good news and not so good news, the fact that he's writing more songs with Hayley is great, but to think that still some writing is going on makes me wonder when the album will be out. But I'm sure she's doing both back and forth, recording some and writing some more. I'm guessing some some tracks are recorded and being processed....and these might be some last minute additions. But I'm also glad she's taking a lot of time to perfect this....I'm now 100% confident that this will be her best, and that we're ALL going to love it no matter what

Yeah, I've been thinking that she must be taking it one song at a time, or a few songs at a time, rather than having one long session, like it sounds like she did with Winter Magic, Paradiso, AND Hushabye... her last 3 albums! It's actually a bit appalling to recall that her last 3 albums were all themes or collaborations, with only a touch of originality from Hayley. And almost nothing new. 8 years, people, 8 years. This must never happen again. I'm just thinking of Josh Groban, who has only had 2 themed albums out of 7! Granted, they've (probably) been among his most successful albums, but that's taking into account that he was already established as an exceptional singer and songwriter, selling out arenas all over the world.
Jeff has co-written all but 1 of Hayley's recorded original songs, the one being Let Me Lie, with Sarah Class.(Paradiso, Melancholy Interlude, and On the Wings of Time don't really count, being already existing pieces). Of course, there's Talk to Me with Beth.. Orton?... but that has not been recorded (as far as we know).
It's been 8 years, people. 8 years. That's ridiculous. Plenty of beautiful music in that time, of course, but,... not much of it being really and truly HAYLEY.

Haha, exactly, oooh Let me lie was with someone else? I hope she does some collaboration with that Sarah person again!

Well, there were some who imagined she was going to go work with her in Bristol, all because Hayley posted a photo of a scene looking out from a train. There's no way to tell where she was going or what she was doing just from one photo. After Hayley's last music-related tweet (making music for you), Ben Brick asked her "Do you like trains?" I'm not sure if that was because the studios are near Kings Cross Station, where they might hear trains all the time, or if she would need to take the train to get there... but, if it's in London, I'm not sure that would be necessary. I also remember the tweet where she said "waiting for the train to pass before hitting the record button". And that was sometime last year. It's possible that she's been recording all along, in stages, so maybe the album is closer at hand than it might seem. Maybe Jeff Franzel's work with her will be the last bit of writing. I hope so, otherwise it might end up being a 2016 album! That's practically a year away! I think I've posed this question before, but I'm wondering: Would Hayley's album have better success if it was not released at the same time as the BGT and X Factor albums in the fall? Or, is fall the only time of year worth releasing an album? There must be a reason the reality show stars (and Katherine Jenkins!) release albums in the fall.

I guess that record labels are more interested in maximising total sales rather than chart position. So they will release Hayley's album at the time when they think it will sell the most, even if that means that it will be up against the might of Simon Cowell's marketing empire. Cowells genius is that he gets lots of TV exposure for his artists, I suspect at minimal cost. Everyone else pays through the nose for that.
