Hi Martind, I don't know, I rather think the ship has sailed with Sleep On. The baby is born now and after the intense media saturation, I think the news is looking for something else to focus on. Goodness knows I love Will and Kate, but by now I think I've totally had my fill of royal baby news! However, things are probably different in Asia, so the single might do okay there. Jillian

Jillian Me, too! As I said elsewhere, I'm actually glad I was at work all day and didn't have to hear it being dragged out all day. Before I left, I saw that she was at the hospital, and then by the time I got home, it was born. Then the next day, I saw the footage of them coming out with the baby. Then the next day, we heard his name announced all day (I was home for that!). That was all the news I needed! I don't feel I missed a thing by not being around to hear all the speculation and gossip about it beforehand. I actually found it far more interesting when Harry said that young George "cried his eyes out" whilst being held by his uncle. Too bad they didn't have the Hayley CD handy. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif

Though if the CD is sent to the Royal Couple, won't there be atleast an article of their response XD? Because then it's like me recording a CD and mailing it to the Royal Couple or anybody, it just doesn't make sense for all the hype they gave to this, with Royal composer and stuff. Obviously they'd have contacted them about this, and they just haven't gotten the time to play it I guess. When they do I'm sure there's gonna be atleast a small stir officially from the Royal side.

Me too Libby and Jillian. I made sure I wasn't home for the day on Monday because despite being excited about it I knew it would be on tv constantly and drive me mad i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif. Both my mum and my sister were excited about it but it got to around lunchtime on Monday and even they were bored stiff of the constant updates which weren't even giving any new information just repeating the same thing over and over. So we kept the tv off for a couple of days! found out everything on the internet anyway. I made sure I'd be at uni in the library for most of the day as soon as I heard, (mostly because I had a lot of work to do anyway). Normally we aren't allowed to make a sound in the library-security guards send you out if you do- yet on every floor the librarians had a radio on with live updates- so I couldn't escape it then I think they went a little ott. I've seen some footage online and I was disappointed they didn't play Sleep On then. They went to town on royal baby memorabilia and perfect gifts for babies and new parents, but didn't mention Hushabye or Sleep On at all. So I doubt there will be an article or any mention of it at all from the royal couple, there could be a small mention, my mum says, when the official souvenir magazines and books come out which probably will in the next few days but I doubt we'd hear anything from Will and Kate as they're trying to stay out of the spotlight for a while now. Would be nice to see Sleep On as a single here but I very much doubt it now. Sing

Yes, Sing, I think you are right. I didn't need to make any special effort to avoid the wall to wall TV coverage, since I rarely watch TV anyway. But Tuesday evening we were at dinner with Sues aunt, who wanted to see him. So we suffered 35 minutes of inane commentary and pictures of the hhoptial doors, must have been cheap TV to make that! Then of course the doors opened and the happy family came out. And little George waved to his people. Wonderful! But I first leared that the birth had happened from Dave's post here on HWI. Who needs TV!

It would be great if there was an official stir by the Royals over the album, but that is a bit doubtul (more than a bit, actually). If anything, there might be a brief mention in an article or 2, but even that's doubtful. Maybe the next time Hayley meets one of the Royals, they'll mention it to her personally. Or, maybe, if Kate does play the album for the baby, and appreciates it, maybe that will get her to want to finally meet Hayley. Isn't she one of the only Royals left who hasn't met Hayley? LOL I mean, the main ones who are known to people like me. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif I never would have known about Princess Anne, for example, if she hadn't been present instead of the Queen at the Royal Variety Performance. And has Hayley met the Queen's husband, as well as the Queen? Just wondering.

Hello Libby! I'm fairly certain that Hayley met the Duke of Edinburgh at one or more of the events in 2003, and probably a few more times since. Richard

And I remember the expression on Princess Anne's face when Hayley sang at the RVP. I think she was very impressed. I got the impression she loved it.

Thanks, Richard. Yes, I think she appreciated Hayley's singing, as well, and Hayley was very respectful and kind in her expression towards her.
