Hi everyone
Thanks for uploading the photos, I'm so jealous of all of you who got to go especially as Hayley played guitar too and I couldn't go, I'm living in Venice until December. This looks like one of the best Hayley concerts.

Ah yes bamafan, requests. I had tweeted, "you know the obvious one that is a must, without me telling you" I thought she was going to avoid it as it is such an obvious must and was hoping she'd use it as one of the inevitable encores, but she gave us Pokarekare Anna in Part 2.

Well, I can only say that this has to be Hayley's finest ever performance. More songs than ever before I think, and as Peter mentioned her voice was stronger and more expressive than ever. The prize for expression, or has he put it "drama" has to go to Jonathan Ansell though with his performance of "Gethsemane" from "Jesus Christ Superatar. I have lots of photos and videos, and plan to write a report, but I'm afraid you will have to wait for it since I'm very busy looking after my sick wife at the moment. It typically takes an hour and a half to feed her a meal (by which time mine is cold). So I havent' had time to sort anything out yey. The light was not good, and one or two of the videos I had to give up to, becuase of a bright foolight shining straight into my lens (and eyes), but I am hopeful I have good videos of all of the most interesting songs, which I will post in due course.
We got to meet Hayley both before and after the show (although after was very late, so there were only the few left who didn't have trains to catch who were left by then. But is seems Hayley had enjoyed the show as much as we did. Whic is as it should be.

Hello all, Thought I’d pop in and let you know my takings on the concert last night and to say hi to those I never had a chance to chat with during the evening. I first saw Hayley many years ago when she was supporting Il Divo at Wembley and was struck then with the clarity of her voice especially being so young. I came away from that concert thinking Il Divo should have been supporting her! I next saw her many times on the Valentine tour with Jonathan and loved every minute of not only her duets but her solo spots. She had begun to mature nicely and her sense of humour was catching. I last saw her in Banbury at her own concert which was very enjoyable too but last night was the best of all. My goodness has she changed – for the better I may add! I very much enjoyed her first half of the show and not being very up to date with all her albums, many of the songs were new to me and it was nice to hear her established repertoire. When she appeared for the second half, I thought someone else had come on stage instead! I have never seen her in anything else but very pretty dresses (which of course suit her) but her outfit I though really brought her up to date with a bang. She looked and sounded amazing. She looked like a young girl about town having some fun on stage and her personality shone out. I thought she was very brave singing a Kate Bush classic which cannot be easy to sing but she appeared faultless so I take my hat off to her! One of my favourite songs of the night was Bridge Over Troubled Water. It is a song I have always wanted Jonathan to have a go at so maybe he might having heard Hayley sing it. Better still, I am sure they could work out a wicked duet of it together. Of course being a Jonathan follower, I was hoping of another duet at the end but this was her concert and he was only a guest so I shouldn't be greedy! Time flew by and by the sounds of previous reports and reviews on here, I was extremely lucky to have witnessed Hayley playing the guitar. She really did look at home perched somewhat precariously on that stool with her guitar but once settled and after removing her glittery bangle, she went on to deliver her song beautifully. I did enjoy her duet with Jonathan though I don’t think I have ever heard or heard of that particular song. I do like listening to new songs so I am sure it will grow on me once I get the know it. Well I am obviously biased when it comes to Jonathan and thought the songs he sang from his new album Two Hearts were amazing. My friend I was with and I both noticed Time Evans when Jonathan was singing Unchained Melody and when he hit his long sliding note in the middle, Tim produced the biggest grin I have ever seen! Obviously enjoying the performance too!! Thanks to Jillian, I see the link to my video of Jonathan’s Gethsemane has been posted on here. I am glad some of you have enjoyed it. It was taken with my iPhone as sadly I had totally forgotten to charge the batteries to my heavy camera I had been carrying around with me all day! Doh! I would like to have captured some of Hayley but I was nearly out of phone juice too – note to self – Be Prepared next time! Mind you, I know some of you are a dab hand with filming and photography so I can pop on here and not miss out. It was also nice to see some familiar faces again from not only the Valentine tour but also from the Classic Brits a few years ago. It was also very lovely to re-acquaint myself with the lovely Comet whom I had met in Dublin many moons ago. The Union Chapel is a lovely venue and can see why Hayley wanted to perform there. Just so glad she had also invited Jonathan along and I really hope they can do something else together again – I suppose a tour is too much to ask for! Anyway, it has been lovely to read all about last night from your point of view and look at your lovely photos. I hope Hayley doesn't leave it another year before she performs in Britain/Ireland again. Best wishes Marian

Thanks everyone so far for the reports and pictures! Can't wait for all the little details and the set list. Take care, Alicia Hello Alicia! And Marian, and everyone who's posted so far (and I know we still have some major treats to come, in a day or three's time ) I think it's time for someone to stick their head above the parapet and risk getting it shot at... so I'm going to risk it with a rough first attempt at reconstructing the set list. I still haven't recovered from a very late night last night but here's what I *think* I remember... anyone who was there please feel free to add to and/or correct it! Alphabetical order for now. 1 Amazing Grace 2 Both Sides Now 3 Bridge Over Troubled Water 4 Close To You 5 Dream A Little Dream Of Me 6 I Believe (from Hayley Sings Japanese Songs) 7 I Dreamed A Dream 8 I Know You By Heart 9 La Califfa 10 My Heart Belongs To You 11 Never Saw Blue 12 Over The Rainbow 13 Pokarekare Ana 14 Scarborough Fair 15 Songbird 16 Summer Fly 17 Talk To Me 18 The Mummers' Dance 19 Vivo Per Lei (duet with Jonathan Ansell) 20 What You Never Know 21 Whispers In A Dream 22 Who Painted The Moon Black? 23 Wuthering Heights 24 You Raise Me Up - 25 Jonathan - Anthem (from Chess) 26 Jonathan - Gethsemane 27 Jonathan - Unchained Melody = The list is now complete. Cheers, Dave Updated 1 (Martin D). Updated 2 (Marian).Updated 3 (Johnh)

Dave,
I think you have forgotten a few. Grant photographed the setlist on the stage during the interval, and I'm sure he will eventually publish it. Both Sides Now, I Believe and You Raise Me Up and Mummers Dance and Summer Fly are some songs you have missed. There are probably more. The other one from Paradiso was La Califfa.
I don't remember "The Prayer".

Thanks Martin and Marian! I've updated the list, it looks more impressive now, doesn't it! I got The Prayer and You Raise Me Up mixed up for some reason ) and yes there could be even more, as we've already said it was something of a marathon concert! Look forward to seeing Grant's copy of the actual setlist (but I'm impatient! ) Perhaps I didn't dream Amazing Grace then, after all! Cheers, Dave

Yes, thank you so much, Dave! Since one certain person said they weren't going to go into much detail on the songs she sang, I was thinking I was going to have to ask! So thank you very much, Dave! I'm very pleased to see I Know You By Heart on the list again! And BOTW! And also very surprised to see What You Never Know! Has she ever done that live before? Was "The Prayer" actually "Prayer", Dave? The Secret Garden song, rather than the David Foster one that's normally a duet?
