It reinforces what I said earlier about it being a nice source of income for Hayley - look at this report from the BBC, two weeks ago: Compare that with the continuing decline in CD sales - and revenue and it's easy to see that Hayley has entered a growth market that could turn out to be very important indeed for her future career (especially if the Endless Ocean type of video game becomes popular). According to what I found online, EO has sold more than 100.000 copies worldwide from its launch. Considering the particular type of game, it's a good result, specially for Hayley's popularity.

Hi Emil, Yes indeed, thanks! VG Chartz also says the split is 79,000 in Japan (more than the Treasure album sold in the UK!) and 23,000 so far (in 2 weeks) in the US. It's a pity there are no sales details for the UK and Europe, it must have sold some there too and that would be extra sales. I see that several gamers on their forum are complaining that the European/UK sales have never been included and they are guessing that it's sold 100,000 copies there too by now so it could be up to 200,000 Worldwide. But I think we now know why Hayley is going to record a special album for Japan and tour there in the summer!  Cheers, Dave |

I did see the game shown on one of the news channels. Wow...I didn't realize that Hayley did so many songs for the game.
Here's hoping for a PC version !

Hello everyone, anything that gets Hayley to a new audience is good. :)The fact that most of us are not into video games, so are not likely to get it, goes to show it is a new audience!...He said that he was surprised how high a price the CD had risen to as he had not even heard of Hayley; and he was a dealer in second hand CD's !! I am so happy for Hayley, I am seeing comments on youtube from people who are just finding out about Hayley from the game so this is very exciting indeed. Below is a sample of a couple of the comments I read today on youtube.
As soon as I heard this song, I had to know was this a one hit wonder person, because it was to good to be true. I checked out other songs. She's a person with a voice of an angel. Makes me want to relax and dance at the same time. I don't like to dance! She's amazing!!
I'm sure the page views exploded when penny arcade linked this video, and I'm glad they did, or else I wouldn't have found out about this lady.
