I love twinkle twinkle too, it's definitely one of my favourites, the arrangements on the album are so good, that is why I had to give it 5 starts on amazon, I just couldn't see how I could take any away, the singing, song choice and instrumentation were too good, seems I was proved wrong on this one. I think my absolute favourite has to be The Pretty Little Horses as this reminds me a bit of treasure, I love the acapella start and the violin and Celtic sounding low whistle. I also think that listening to Hushabye before I go to bed help me sleep better too.

Umm, so... how come you didn't buy the album in New Zealand? Do the stores not have them? And even if they don't, I've seen it available on the NZ websites like amplifier and Mighty Ape.

Hi Lobby I bought the CD from UK before I knew it was going to be an international release. I did buy the deluxe version from NZ Itunes. And I also bought the Japanese CD as well lol. And I love the CD.

I decided to wait, and apparently my patience will pay off... in August! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif Though I'm hoping to get the Japanese version for Bridge over Troubled Water, but since it's released July 31, it could be August by the time I get to hear it.

Yes, I understand that. When I found out that the other versions of Paradiso weren't coming till August and October, I definitely could not wait, and had to get the NZ version in April! Especially since the early NZ release had me hoping the other versions would be coming soon after! However, as you may know, this album doesn't have me as excited as other albums have in the past. My wise saying definitely didn't hold true for the Northern Ireland DVD, or the Mario Frangoulis DVD! I am very glad I did not wait for that! As it is, it seems that I'm the only one here who owns that DVD! I am very lucky indeed, despite handing over $46 for it! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif

Is it still available to buy? I kept meaning to buy it, then it was no longer available for some reason. Is that still the case?

Hello I-H-F and Taylor and all! The N.I. DVD was pulled (permanently IIRC) by Hayley's then management because it was considered to be below the professional production standard they had expected. Decca may or may not have been involved in that decision, I don't know. There was a bit of a fuss about it too, to say the least! To save derailing this thread, here is a link to the thread concerned so please post any follow-ups in there, thanks! hwi.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=Livenz&action=display&thread=5634Cheers, Dave

I've listened to the album, and I have to say, I LOVE it! Hayley's voice is just stunning and so intimate, just as promised. I held myself back from listening to the samples, and I'm so glad I did! Some of the songs were completely new to me, so hearing them in full for the first time was a real treat! Early favorites for me are Go to Sleep, Goodnight my Angel, and Baby Mine. But I really like all of them. Twinkle Twinkle is my least favorite actually, but the arrangement is refreshing. To those who think they don't want the album because it's lullabies, I say, RECONSIDER! It's wonderful!

I think Libby posted recently basically, "if lullabies don't interest me, they don't interest me". That hits the nail on the head for me. I'm glad people like it. I wish I felt differently, but 'Hushabye' isn't, and won't be, in my CD collection.

The only response I can give to that argument is to misquote a certain starship science officer: It's a Lullaby album, I-H-F, but not as we know it! Cheers, Dave
