Hi all! Hushabye is now listed on CD Japan with a 31 July 2013 release date under the name of 'Lullaby'. Or in translate Japanese: 'Lullaby of the World: Japanese Title' It will have 3 bonus tracks. www.cdjapan.co.jp/detailview.html?KEY=UCCL-1167Look at this translation of the listing: I think this might be the version I will get. Goodness me I PRAY that Bridge Over Troubled Water has not been watered down and lullabied though. I think I might cry. The way Hayley sings it live is best and the way that it HAS to be recorded: www.youtube.com/watch?v=PoVR3iqOJFUCheers, Jillian Hi Jillian, I have also received that email from CD Japan. Strange that the email says 11 songs and seems to say that that includes the 3 bonus tracks when the list we have says 13 tracks. But I may well buy the Japan version for BOTW as well as the UK version. Jim

I'm with you there, Jillian, on BOTW. It HAS to be recorded in the manner it was sung live. There's just no other good option. And I wonder if that'll be a new recording of Nemunoki... -Taylor i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif

If the bridge over troubled water is as good as the live version on YouTube I'll definitely have to get this version too. Do you think there will be a Taiwanese version with Baobei on it?

The album is now listed on amazon.co.jp HERE! The title is "世界の子守歌" which translates into "Lullaby Of The World". I like it. Also here is the description. Shorter and slightly different from CD Japan's email: -Taylor i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif

For example, on the Japanese version of Winter Magic 'On the Wings of Time' had nothing to do with Christmas.

Susie Hey Susie! Don't know about Baobei but I would put money on there being a Taiwanese version Best wishes Grant

I'm excited to see BOTW in the list, but I'm still going to wait till I see tracklists for all versions. I'm not spending any more money than necessary on an album I'm not all that excited about.

I'm Happy and sad....I'm happy to see BOTW actually recorded! But very disappointed that it's going to be in 'this' album It'd be irrelevant if they did a recording that was like the live one with all the percussion in this album. And I don't even think hayley would belt the high portions. (See how they shine...) and stuff like that which made her version stand out. I think this will have just piano and guitar and her whispering the whole song, like you know how someone wanted from here, saying it was supposed to be comforting and stuff and that the percussion gave them a headache.

Fingers crossed that BOTW is recorded just like Taiwan. I mean, though, being a bonus track on a Japanese album wouldn't stop Hayley from re- recording it in the future for a different album, would it??? Cheers, Jillian

Hi all,
The Japanese version is being listed on quite a few Japanese sites under the name of 'Lullaby' or 'Lullaby of the World' now. Although no cover as yet. It seems that this will be the Japanese title - much more easily translated than 'Hushabye'. Though, it does have me wondering (and I think Libby might be thinking this too) that 'Dream a Little Dream' could be the title for the US? This album may have different titles across the world for marketing purposes?

LOL Simba. But I certainly hope you're wrong! I can't believe it would be as "bad" as that! I'm going to stay optimistic and still hope for an equally outstanding performance of the song on the album as the concerts. But maybe it won't have loud drums, that was just part of the orchestra/band that were backing her. They won't be on the album. I think you tend to notice drums more in concert settings where the speakers are blaring, than on an album. Some sound systems or settings don't even bring out drums very well, anyway. Jillian, regarding the title differences. I am really hoping that that is the case, despit the fact that it could cause confusion. I'm sure her Celtic Woman fans, who are used to receiving lullaby CDs from their favorite singers, will love it no matter what it's called. But I think the use of a song well-known in the US and that focuses less on the "hushabye" aspect of the album would help make the album that much more successful. Of course I'm not expecting it to be a very big success, based on the fact that it's a specialized category. But if they'd just add songs like BOTW, You Raise Me Up, and Over the Rainbow, that would change things significantly. LOL I can always hope. And you know, after Odyssey and Celtic Treasure, we're all kind of used to different songs on different versions of one album. The US got You Are Water and Never Saw Blue, and the UK didn't. The UK got all kinds of songs the US didn't, but then at least the US still got Scarborough Fair and The Water is Wide eventually, thanks to her Celtic Woman venture. It's still very confusing, which isn't always a good thing. But as long as we get the better songs, I don't care. Because You Are Water was a way better selection than the Bachianas song the website told me I was getting. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif

This is really something special. The NHK Special is a TV programs that are introduced here. www.nhk.or.jp/special/program/Things are all written in Japanese there but those photos would help you to assume what are broadcast. The programs are very popular and watched by many people who are interested in what's going on in the world as well as in Japan. It has been 10 years since her voice has echoed in many Japanese houses when she sang the theme song for "Shiroi Kyoto or The white great tower in 2003. The programs also were broadcast in Taiwan and other countries later and that was the base why she was already popular in Taiwan before the World Game. HSJS1 and 2 were also popular there and the initial trigger was certainly the broadcast of Shiroi Kyoto according to a friend of mine in Taiwan. After 10 years of absence, Hayley's voice will echo in our houses soon. I wonder how people will listen to it.
