Hi all,
When I was reading though the Hushabye booklet looking for details of the studios used during recording, I noticed that Hushabye is the first Decca album since Pure that Hayley has no writing or arrangement credits on.
Hayley participated in the arranging of almost all the tracks on Odyssey, wrote and arranged tracks on Treasure, wrote lyrics on the Hayley Sings Japanese Songs albums and of course wrote lyrics on Paradiso.
Whereas with Hushabye, the album was exclusively recorded, produced and arranged by Jon Cohen.
I'm not sure how much input you need to have to at least get an arrangement credit. Although I have heard that artists will always bargain hard for them when they have contributed arrangement ideas, because it means royalties from the songs.
I guess this means that Hayley's input into Hushabye was the least of any of her albums since Pure when she was 15. Just thought that was interesting, as I hadn't noticed until now.

Don't forget about Winter Magic! I'm almost surprised that Hayley didn't have any input on Twinkle. I thought for sure she would have. Well, maybe she made suggestions, but they weren't enough to receive credit for it?

I gather on Twinkle she found the lyrics on the Interney, but didn't actually write them which is why she would not be credited.

. I think Hayley was more involved with Hushabye than Winter magic, I just think Hayley didn't choose to receive credit or I think it's got to do with Jon Cohen doing the whole thing or something.

Actually, Hayley wrote 3 of the songs: All With You, Christmas Morning, and Peace Shall Come. Also, I remember reading in articles or something about it that some of the songs were ones she had considered a long time ago for whenever she did a Christmas album. Another thing, it seems it was also her idea to have it be a "winter" album, rather than just a Christmas song. I think that's a nice idea, and it was nice hearing so many different holidy tunes/hymns, mostly ones I'd never heard (Little Road, Coventry Carol, Winter's Dream, etc.). However, I stil think she did too many lesser-known songs. A few unknowns are great, especially her own original songs, but when people want their favorite singers to do a Christmas album, it's usually because they want to hear them sing their favorite Christmas songs. When you read the reviews on Amazon and such, a lot of people were very disappointed. I have to admit when I first saw the tracklist, I was slightly disappointed, as well. And I suppose I am still somewhat disappointed, because now I'm hoping at some point in her career, she'll do another one, in order to fill in some of the gaps from the last one. Hopefully a more classical Christmas album next time, but that'll probably be another 10 years, or something. But maybe never, because of her low album sales for WM. And here we are off-topic again. Whoops. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif

Hi everyone,
Just a quick reminder, please try to avoid saying anything that could be taken as a personal remark. I've done a bit of editing on this page, to help us get back on track.
Cheers, Dave

Beautiful photo, but nothing about it says "Hushabye" to me at all. Not that the poofy pink dress does, either, but at least it kind of makes her look like a fairy godmother, or something.

Unfortunately, as I (as @hayleysforum) just replied to them, it is nowhere to be found on the websites. I even tried the UK site, but the results were even worse there. At least at the US store there were actually lullaby albums to be found, 3 or 4 pages of them in fact, but just no Hushabye. And yes, I searched for the album title itself, too, and it said it couldn't be found.
