Hi Libby,
I suppose it depends what they announce and to whom. If it's just an album name, artwork, track list and release date so online sellers can show it, it won't matter where she is. The promotion would I assume come much later on anyway.

Cool down guys, that was a joke (hence the smiley). Implying she would like to be well out of the way when it happens.
I'm sure that things can proceed with minimal input from her from now on, and that we are in for a real treat when this album appears. I am quite expecting it to be my favourite album by anyone, ever!

And looking at it now, there's nothing to indicate what you implied at all. A smiley just means happy to me. Anyway, Dave said it's a possibility for her to be out of the country then, depending on when they make the announcement. And he happens to know that it will be soon, just not when exactly. I think it's irrelevant whether we knew whether you were joking or not, because it seems like a perfectly logical comment, since she will be in Taiwan soon. If you want people to know what you mean, then how about you just say it. If anything is going to make me need to cool down, it's telling us to cool down from something we were never heated up about.

Martin I meant as far as creating the album and preparing for the release were concerned. And that her spending time in the far east would not prevent details from being released when available. I would expect the promotion to take place closer to the release date, and we can all hope for a promotional concert tour. Something else to look forward to. I was basically just agreeing with Dave. I *think* I know where Amazon messed up or how they got the idea in the first place. Please refer to my Updated Taiwan concert set list. I think someone who is not too familiar with Hayley and/or Chinese must have gotten wind of her new Chinese song title and ran with it when news of a new album is announced.

Hi - Anyone interested in hearing Hayley sing "Baby" while accompanying herself with her guitar, please raise your hand! BobS www.youtube.com/watch/?v=Rgm_N1qRCQQ&feature

ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME!!!!!Hope I made that clear. Oh, I've always wanted Hayley to do a song like this!! That is, at least this style. A light, simple guitar backing, upbeat, with a light, simple message. However, as since she will have an orchestra behind her, she might go in a direction more like THIS. Just cut out that awful midi clarinet. Either way Hayley does it would be fine for me, though. -Taylor i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif

I've actually noticed that about other singers, too. Like singers on the talent shows, when they sing certain types of songs required for each week, it's not always that amazing. But then later, you hear a single or 2 of theirs on the radio, that's written/chosen particularly for their voice, I end up liking them better than I did on the competition. Same with me. A lot of my favourite artists these days are singer/songwriters, and I'm pretty sure this is the main reason. Songs written by them and for them just add a depth to their performance, somehow. Honestly, that cover looked kind of exploitative, to me, like they were trying to draw attention to Hayley's, er, physical attributes, shall we say? I'm glad it's not the real cover. I love Paradiso as an album. I think it really helped stretch Hayley in all kinds of ways she hadn't really been stretched before. But - I think she can and will better it. Whether with this next album or others further down the line.

Paradiso was beyond amazing yes, but it was not her greatest album either, the fact that they used 'raw' recordings like hayley mentioned in the interviews is nice, but the quality of the tracks aren't as good as maybe treasure, even on the best sound systems. Paradiso to me was an amazing break for hayley to stop and look at things a little differently and working with great people is always great experience, but now I feel hayley's going to be "BACK" with great power and impact that we can bearly take in! I'm sure she's put in a lot of effort in this and that this album will truly establish her as an international singer and top the charts. I'm more excited for this one than I was ever with Paradiso. The photoshoot! The music videos! Track lists! Live performances, it's gonna be a dream Speaking of which I had a dream of watching a 7 minute video of tidbits from Hayley's new album, and it was Hawaiian/Country themed, where hayley was playing the guitar and singing, looking to the bright blue oceans, and yes there was a bright country version of Pokarekare ana XD. I know I'm weird.

The photoshoot! The music videos! Track lists! Live performances, it's gonna be a dream Yes, exactly! That's the way I feel too! Elliot, I definitely like Paradiso a lot, there are absolutey gorgeous songs on it. Not to mention I really, really appreciate that Ennio Morricone had a major influence on her development to be the extra-amazing singer/performer she is nowadays. However, as Simba says, I am much more excited for this new album, excited to possibly hear new original Hayley songs, and see what direction she'll be going with this new album. A more original album is always going to excite me more than an album full of covers. There are plenty of existing songs out there that I'd love to hear Hayley sing, of course, but I don't want another album full of songs by other artists, no matter how gorgeous they are. Paradiso was great, yes, but now I'm ready to move on with new Hayley music. I'm always hoping that her next album might have a chance of doing well enough in the US to warrant a few "real Hayley concerts" here, but that may be too much to ask for. But, I think an album of songs that show who Hayley really is as an artist, it might actually appeal to people more than an album of well-known movie music. If she has more than just one or two orignal tracks, she might be able to gain better respect as a songwriter, rather than if she kept on singing all the old tired classical songs. That's why artists like Mary Jess appeal to me a lot more than many of the other CC artists out there. She wrote some really beautiful songs for her album, and that was her first album!

Libby,
Moving on from 'Antique Cover Versions' to original material? Yes, that would certainly get my vote!
Even something like Decca did for Faryl (Or indeed Hayley did for her Japanese Songs albums) and putting new words to old tunes would be a very good step in the right direction, IMO.
Create songs with real meaning for Hayley, then let her tap into that feeling and cut loose... The result would be truly extraordinary, I have no doubt.
