Seeing what's behind Hayley in the photograph, she should have been singing "Roll Out The Barrel!" Richard

Actually, it's today. Because it's already tomorrow in New Zealand. It's about half past noon on the 7th there as I'm typing this.

Hayley was great tonight. Yes that photo was from last night at the corporate launch to about 20 people. I will do a report tomorrow when I get home. She was in a different dress tonight and she sang 7 songs. I did take some photos. .

Brancott Estate Concert 7th March 2013After a 320km trip in the car I arrived in Blenheim and set up my tent in the local camping ground. It was a hot afternoon and I enjoyed listening to England being thrashed in the cricket test lol. A view from my tent At 6:30pm I headed to the Brancott Estate Heritage Centre which is set on a hill surrounded by vines. A courtesy van took us up the hill to the venue. Two models dressed in World Of wearable arts outfits greeted us and we got photos taken with them (hopefully I will get them later to show you). Plus I got a nice glass of Brut Cuvee. View from the venue 10 tables seating 6 at each table I was in the 3rd table from the stage so luckily I was reasonably close to see Hayley. The dinner started with an entree of Salmon, leek and potato Terrine with a glass of Sauvignon Gris. The second entree was Goats Fromage Blanc Mousse on courgettes with a glass of Sauvignon Blanc. Then the band arrived on stage. Tim Evans was there on piano. Lance Sua on guitar ( also appeared in other Hayley concerts in NZ lately) and Belinda on Violin. Also present was Arnaud as the sound engineer. The Hayley arrived in her usual bubbly mood and she said she hoped we were enjoying our meals. The first song was Mummers Dance which Hayley sang beautifully. the acoustics were good in the venue so we got to hear the best out of Hayley. Second song was the gorgeous Songbird. Next was an old favourite Both Sides NowThen Hayley mentioned that they had visited the Estate earlier to see the NZ Falcons which the Estate is breeding to help control other birds etc and she had one on her arm. Never saw Blue was the next song (lovely ). Hayley excused herself for drinking some water and she said she hoped we were enjoying our wines to which I replied that Hayley should have one too and she giggled and said maybe later lol. Incidentally at that time we were trying the special limited edition Chosen Rows Sauvignon Blanc (only 1500 bottles at $80 a bottle). The chosen rows refers to the rows of vines where the grapes were picked from and if you looked out of the window we could see the chosen rows lit up by lights. Then Hayley sang SummerflyAnd then the very beautiful I Know You By Heart. And then finally Hayley sang the famous Pokarekare Ana song to finish the musical half hour. We then had the main course of either Monkfish or lamb. I had the Monkfish which was excellent and with it I had a glass of Pinot Gris. Then for pudding we had Semi Freddo with Plums and with a very sweet late harvest Sauvignon Blanc. Then finally we had some bread and cheese and a coffee before at 11:45pm I headed back to my tent for a good nights sleep. It was well worth the trip to see Hayley again. Unfortunately we never had a chance to talk to Hayley as they left soon after she finished singing.

Awesome set list!!! HUGE thanks to you, Ross, for filling us in on all the evening's festivities. It's been ages since she did "I Know You By Heart". Glad it's been resurrected. Wish we had videos, but at least we have pictures. -Taylor i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif
