Saw the Red Rocks Concert on the TV over Christmas.
These guys are great, they become possessed by the music, a wonderful madness comes over them, a primal wildness and immersion in the music and the performance comes over them and the audience.
I have been playing Sign no more for a couple of years and got Babel just before Christmas, still getting used to the new tracks.
Who else likes them ?
Well Hayley would like to perform with them, NOW that would be something !

Hello Paul! You can see a trailer for their DVD 'The Road to Red Rocks' here: www.mumfordandsons.com/I don't think their style of music is really appropriate for this forum, but I'll let the thread stand as it's very quiet at the moment. Well it was until I watched the trailer! Richard

Well it was until I watched the trailer! Richard Hi Richard, Thanks for the link, I am so easily tempted, but I can hear my financial controller banging a cast iron frying pan around in the kitchen, so I dare not "Buy it Now" I did consider starting this thread about a year ago. ( I also had some reservations even then which delayed me doing so ) once Hayley had mentioned them I felt it was justified in having a thread dedicated to them. If Hayley had not mentioned them herself, I would not have started the thread on this forum. I do think Mumford & Sons display an honesty in their music that is quite rare in the music industry in the last decade or more, Which may explain their current success and the speed at which it happened. Some of the songs are angry to say the least, but others are extremely delicate and tender, certainly not the trivial drivel that is promoted as pop music these days.

Just thinkin... (With what ? some of you might say ) Fleetwood Mac became really sucessful when they got a female vocalist. Latin Quarter were at their best when they had a female vocalist. Imagine what ABBA would have been without female vocalists, just BB mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Mumford & Sons with a Kiwi vocalist ?
