That video will not work for me. It says it's been blocked in my country.

Actually, my favourite recording of Hayley performing that song is with Andrea Bocelli. Not for the video,or the sound, but for the wonderful quality of the performance by both artists that shines through nonetheless. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ljp4Cw-F30UThis is the two finest singer on the planet (in my opinion) duetting. It doesn't get any better. To be there would be very special. If I'm honest, their Canto Della Terra from the same concert is even better. One of the finest performances ever by anybody. www.youtube.com/watch?v=fvy8OYGq_owIn fact, it is a candidate for the finest ever vocal performance in the history of the world in my opinion. Martin D

Thanks Dave, by now you should have now I've exploited all hayley videos for the fan I am XD....I love those performances I was just merely stating that she didn't record it with that guy, because we thought she recorded and then it was taken off.

Hi -,
Just listened to "The Prayer" and to "Canto Della Terra" again, as posted by Martin D. The combination of those two singers just can't be beat for pleasurable listening! Their ending on "The Prayer" is almost 10 seconds longer than that of Hayley and Fernando. (It reminds me of her "Dreaming of New Zealand" ending at a little over 20 seconds.) Have been thinking, what would be better than to have D Foster put on one of his concerts here in the US, at a few major venues, featuring Andrea and Hayley. I think that I read, however, that when Andrea sings with Hayley, if he balances her off with a true opera singer, his performance becomes attractive to more people. Of course, I don't know whether that would be necessary to fill a venue here, but D Foster might not want to take that chance. But, I would not be adverse to a D Foster concert with Hayley and Fernando. They certainly sing well together.

Hi -, The brief banter at the beginning of the video is not completely clear to me. I have played it over and over again. What I think that I am hearing is - DF - Have you recorded it? HW - No, I haven't yet. DF - You should. HW - I did. As that doesn't make sense, can anyone hear it clearly enough to tell me where I am off the track? BobS

Hi Bob,
She says "I should" at the end, not "I did".
Cheers, Dave

Didn't even happen : D And she looks perfect with brown hair : D No, she recorded it, they just didn't use it! There were pictures of her with him (Jai MacDowall) in the studio near a recording mike! Technically, she also recorded O Holy Night and Love Came Down at Christmas, but since they're not on any of her albums, it wouldn't make sense for her to claim that she'd recorded it, because nobody can hear it. Which is a terrible shame. Yes, Martin, I know there are youtube videos, but youtube videos aren't always good enough! You can't take them with you!

Oh thank you, it does work!! I think this is one of the best versions I've heard by Hayley! I loved it with Andrea Bocelli, too, but he drowns her out a bit on the ending note. Here, you can hear Hayley's ending note perfectly. Her ending note was the best I've ever heard in this song (for a lady, at least)!!
