I don't know for Caite, but as for me, I was refering to the 1995 movie by Alfonso Cuaron with Liesel Matthews as Sara (it was nominated for 2 Academy Awards). The one with Shirley Temple is from 1939.
That said, both films are based on the book Hayley recommended.
Ed, I think we all cried at the end.
