You know I think they should remove the apostrophe from the title of this album. That changes the meaning quite a lot!
I think I prefer that!

Hello Martin D! Looking through the links again, I now believe there isn't an apostrophe in the title, so I've removed it from the title of this thread. Translation from Japanese is always a bit tricky, so I can soon put it back again if it turns out that I'm wrong. Richard

Perhaps I should explain for those who don't have English as a first language the subtle difference that makes.
"Hayley Sings Japanese Pop's Best" mweast that Hayley is singing the best of Japanese Pop music.
"Hayley sings Japanese Pops Best" - means that Hayley performs Japanese pop music better than anybody else!

Oh bother! Why can't I be 18 yet? My parents won't let me get any of Hayley's Japanese albums b/c they think it' s really wierd for a 15-year-old boy to want Hayley Westenra music. Well, ok, it is a bit odd but still it's frustrating. Guess I'll have to wait for another birthday and a friend who will do me a favor. Sigh. Still, all the best wishes for the new album. P.S. Hayley DOES sing Japanese pop music best!! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif

Nothing Weird at all about you liking Hayley's music. It takes a lot of courage not to just follow the peer group and listen to whatever they currently think is "Cool or hip or sick or wicked" or whatever word they use this week to describe what they like. Maybe you should ask for a Harley Davidson, then after a while tell them you will compromise, that a few Hayley cds from Japan might just kill off the urge to have a powerful and dangerous motorcycle. Or you could baffle them completely and do some chores around the house and garden if you have one, be agreeable with them, say please and thanks an odd time, clean your room up without being asked and put up a few Harley Davidson posters.

Martin D In that case, Martin, I think the apostrophe makes the most sense, and I think it should stay there. Of course, we are all biased and think she does sing those songs the best, but I really don't think that's what the title is supposed to be saying.

Don't worry Bamafan. As George Burns (an American comedian) once said, "I'm not at all surprised I'm 84 but what does surprise me is the speed with which got here."
Time will fly fast enough, don't rush it but for some consolation I am not the only one of the regulars to have been concerned in the early days of meeting. Then, "sweet 16" I was a little perturbed that a sixty years old man was chasing a sixteen years old girl round the country!
Now she has her own guy I for one will feel much more relaxed following her around.

Anyone know if it will be available for order in the US? I know that the conversion from yen to US dollars said it was about $50.00 with out shipping!

Well, DO NOT order from Amazon. They have it way over priced. Just checked CDJapan and guess what? They have the reg. edition listed at $33.99, and the DVD edition at $41.68. Much cheaper than Amazon, so if I were you, I'd order from there.

Hi, Beethovensgirl. Many of us can tell you, CD Japan is the best place to order Hayley's Japanese releases. They have fast, excellent service, and I'm pretty sure it's cheaper than buying it from Amazon. It's extra expensive at Amazon because they have to import it. CD Japan doesn't import it. It's still kind of expensive, but as long as you choose the right shipping method (I always choose Air Mail), it shouldn't be too bad. And after every purchase, you earn points that you can use the next time you order, and save a little bit of money! So, CD Japan is your best bet.

I really do wonder what picture they will use. For the last 2, they recycled pictures from Hayley's photo shoot from Treasure, and also used some from her RoD photo shoot, for HSJS2. Would they use a Paradiso shot? To me, that dress seems too fancy for a pop album, but they still might use one. I hope they do a new picture, though. Maybe that's why they're delaying posting a photo. I do hope it's not another Treasure photo. Those are over 5 years old now! But, since most of the songs will be from the first 2 albums, maybe they will use another photo from the same shoot.

Hi Libby, I think it might be a Paradiso shot... but Hayley has also done a few shoots since then too. So any of those could be used. There's also these outfits from the Paradiso shoot and others- and there's probably heaps more photos tucked away from these shoots that could be used too. Cheers, Jillian
