The "Things to do Guernsey" website says that

"Due to unforeseen circumstances the Concert scheduled for 27th May has been postponed. Further annoucements will be made in due course."

And it lists a phone number and email address. I've sent them a message asking for additional info.

Hi Grant and everyone,

Unfortunately, the cancellation is confirmed by Bandana, as of this evening here (but I was out earlier).

All I (and they) know is that it only happened today (Friday) and that there is no further information at the moment, perhaps something will be forthcoming next week.

There is currently no suggestion from Bandana of a re-scheduled date and although that could change, I will alter the thread title to "cancelled" at least for now.

lets see.....an open date...... our Memorial Day Concert is May 27, Russell Watson will perform....maybe he could bring Hayley along, although there aren't many repeat performances except of course the hosts and conducter and orchestra and........and.....

I've received a reply...

Quite simply the tickets sales were not high enough.

There will be another event to celebrate the jubilee but sadly it will not include Hayley.

Disappointing news I think. Sigh.

No, Tim, I'm sure Hayley won't be performing for the Memorial day concert for a looong time. You never know, though, she might do so again some day.

Sad to see that Hayley's concert was cancelled. As an antipodean fan and now Guernsey resident I can say that this very much seems down to the lack of information and publicity of the event locally rather than interest. It was very difficult to attain information, the web reference was very limited/unclear and the event location is not even mapped online. No posters / publicity on the island also. Try searching the location and you come up blank. Just thought you would appreciate the feedback as we would very much like to see Hayley here at some point.
