Hers is really sort of an "American Dream" story, for lack of a better word. She started off relatively humble, had a dream, worked tirelessly at it, and achieved it. What is even more surprising is that here in the UK in particular, Hayley has remained at the top and escaped the media frenzy to bring succeeder's down. In the USA success is encouraged rather than envied. I think that Hayley's personality and private life have been major reasons for not enticing the media to "bad press" which has brought down stars such as Charlotte Church in the past. Martin

I agree with you Martin, It's great to see that she remains at the top without being stalked by the tabloids. Although it's still frustrating that most people haven't heard of her. I don't know how it is in the UK or elsewhere, but in France, she's still completely unknown. I was in a music store the other day in les Champs Elysees and I asked the seller if they had any import CD from Hayley Westenra. He was like => "Sorry, Hay....what?" I said "Hay-ley-Wes-ten-ra". He looked at me as I was totally ignorant and stupid and replied "Are you sure she's a singer?!". (ok - no comment on that!). Anyway, there is still a lot of work to be done. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif
