I should imagine that Amelia Por Amor and Lezione di Musica should be perky enough. But it is also true that the slower numbers are better for showing off the beauty of her voice. For example, I don't think a song like "Metti" shows off her voice as well as say La Califfa or Malena. So she tends to sing quite a lot of the sort of songs that show off her voice, which is what makes her unique, rather than trying to sound the same as everybody else.
So what she needs is a mix of different types of song, and that is exactly what we get. We also get a mix of laid back and more passionate songs, and I admit to loving the passionate ones. That the passionate ones are often a bit faster might make us thing we would prefer more of the quicker ones, when it is actually the passion that we love.
"Metti" is an example of an up tempo song that is also quite laid back I think.
To be honest, I'm not sure that changing the mix would improve her shows.

We're not trying to improve her music, just add some zest to her shows. Maybe an alternating sequence of peppier songs and traditional stuff would enliven her gigs the right way and keep everyone happy.

Amalia shows off the versatility and power in her voice very well. Metti shows off her enunciating skills. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifAs that guy in that newer review that Jillian had in her photobucket said, it shouldn't surprise anybody that she would sing some of her old songs like Amazing Grace and Pokarekare Ana, that her fans are expecting to hear! Those are wonderful songs anyway, at least when Hayley sings them!

You can never take too many pictures The more I look at these pictures the worse it gets Getting terrible pangs of regret that I did not get to these concerts. That familiar face, those familiar gestures, those hands, those eyes, sigh............ Will never be able to sing "Non, je ne regrette rien" and mean it. was never able to sing it anyway Thanks to all of you for the wonderful pictures and videos.

Wonderful photographs, Graeme! I'm about to post another link to this thread on our Facebook page. Best wishes, Richard Thanks Richard....I have to confess that I don't know how to do that. It was (& still more to post) a pleasure to be able to take this many different shots of Hayley's expressions & movements while using her wonderful voice in front of an audience. I can't think of a more lovely subject !!! It's a great thrill to have so many turn out so well & thanks to Hayley & my fabulous camera for that. Graeme
