I have moved this post from one of the Classic FM threads! And I don't know if you guys noticed, but hayleywestenra.co.uk has just opened its doors. Is it the UK official site?

Hi Stephany, That is an interesting discovery and, no, I wasn't aware of it. I see no reason why there would be an official site specifically for the UK when the existing site serves us perfectly well. Had Decca wished to build a UK site, I feel sure they would have launched it in time for the release of Treasure, and they would be promoting it at hw.com. This is likely to be the latest of a long list of independent fansites. I have tried to trace the registrant of the domain but it is currently showing as "unknown". That suggests it was registered only very recently, probably in the last few days. I am sure we will keep an eye on it. You never know, we may learn something useful! Roger

Thanks - sorry for the off-topic. The site is currently more than empty...but in any case, I doubt it will ever be as informative as HWI.

Hello folks! This would appear to be the site discussed in this thread. If so, it's been around for some time, but at least there's some development at last! I won't be watching it too closely. Best Wishes, Richard

Just had a quick look at this site - nothing but an empty shell apart from two bits of information at least one of which is in the past :zz Not to worry, it would need more than one nuclear bomb to shift me from this forum!! Grant

Hi Richard, Thanks for the reminder of the earlier mention of this site. I now realise that something has changed becasue I was then able to see the name to whom it was registered. Now I can't. I wonder if that implies it has recently changed hands. Somehow, I don't think it will be a major rival to HWI! Roger

As you said earlier it sounds as though it is from north of the border. Please delete this if it is not public knowledge.

Hi Drew, I have deleted the name from your post as it is not for us to display a registrant's details (even though it can easily be found on the internet by anyone who knows where to look). However, I recognised the name as the one to whom the site was registered some months ago. We shall watch the site with interest! Hi Russ, It is a matter of opinion as to whether other fansites are rivals or not. We like to think of them as a means of networking as we are all exist for the same reason; to promote and support Hayley. If there is anything this new site can do to help, I wish them the best of luck. But you're right, we have won! Roger

I might join the forum. I would probably be on my own, but I sometimes find myself speaking to myself a lot anyway!
