I actually have trouble and doubt believing this story until Hayley herself confirms it. Think about it: Hayley flying alone with a man she doesn’t know to an island? I think Hayley is just a little more aware and ‘safe’ with herslef to do something like that. What do you think?? Dori

OK - I got all the references. My mistake, it wasn't from the Daily Telegraph but from the Daily Express.

I think Hayley is just a little more aware and ‘safe’ with herslef to do something like that. What do you think?? Dori X2. I am not sure what type of media "The Daily Express" or "The Daily Telegraph" are, nor do I know if they are reputable sources. By the way the article is written, the article seems to come from either a gossip magazine (like the "National Enquirer"), or a gossip column. I have never met Hayley, and don't really know much about her other than what has been said in this forum, but common sense (for anyone) would dictate that you (a) never give your number/address to somebody you just met and (b) never accept a ride (helicopter or otherwise) from a stranger. I find it hard to believe that Hayley would violate either of these rules. With her having problems with stalkers in the past, I am sure that her 'danger' alarm is on high alert, nor do I believe that her parents would allow her to. I would safely bet that this article is gossip and nothing more. Russ

I'm starting to worry about all this now. There's this and that other business with the dog and the high notes (The Curious Incident Of The Dog And The High Notes. ) That still hasn't been explained - I still don't know what Hayley was 'sick of', but those are words you use when your very angry.

I found Hayley's thoughts on the possibility of being followed by paparazzis and gossip magazines in an older interview. Interesting enough considering the recent events :
'I'm kind of lucky' Wednesday September 24, 2003 The Guardian
And Charlotte Church ? The last time she was here, in early spring, Church was all over the front pages thanks to her boyfriend troubles. "I thought, poor girl, being hassled by the media," says Westenra. "But I guess it's just that she wants to have, you know, a social life. She's just being a teenager. You could say that she probably missed out on... a lot." She seems to have entirely missed the irony.
Doesn't she worry about that herself? "I'm kind of lucky because I've had a bit more time, and I am a bit older." But wouldn't she resent it if the paparazzi started following her? "I guess if they're interested it obviously means that... it's just one of the aspects of being well known, isn't it?" She laughs. "Maybe I'm being completely naive, but I don't think I would mind! I'm sure I'll survive." And you hold your breath and hope you can't see her future.

Hi everyone,
This has been an intriguing story. I think it is important to acknowledge that Hayley is a responsible adult and I don't believe she would disclose any personal details lightly. However, if she chose to do so on this occasion, we have no right to criticize her for it.
I like to think that the members of this forum are some of the most loyal supporters that Hayley has ever had. That being so, it is only natural that, from time to time, we would like to know a little of her private life. If any of it should appear in the press, it is probably right that we should acknoweldge it here. That does not mean that it is right to discuss it at length.
As far as this particular story is concerned, I can tell you now that it is absolutely true. I would merely reiterate what I said last night that we should now respect Hayley's privacy and not discuss it any further.
Thank you, Roger

Hi Roger
Thanks for the update on this story and for putting our minds at rest.
For my part I only got involved, not to discuss Hayley's private life but because of concerns that the article MIGHT be gossip and MIGHT do more harm than good.
We are, after all, not just Hayley's supporters but have her welfare at heart. I am happy that we now let this rest.
Grant
P.S. I ordered my helicopter this morning!!

Hi Roger, Grant, everyone! You're absolutely right, Roger, we should not discuss at length this story - we should just be aware of it and return to our main passion : music. I'm happy to hear that it was true, though, because somehow I would have felt really bad if it turned out to be false - because I was the one who posted the article. And of course, I have absolutely no desire into stalking, or worse, harming her. As far as this particular story is concerned, I can tell you now that it is absolutely true. I would merely reiterate what I said last night that we should now respect Hayley's privacy and not discuss it any further.

Hi Stephany, Had the story proved false, we would not have criticized you in any way for posting it. On the contrary, we would have been grateful to you because it would have given us the opportunity to make a denial. Thank you for your contributions to this forum, Stephany. Roger

Hi Stephany, Thank you for posting the further details this morning; it always helps to know the exact source when forming a judgement about, shall we say, "interesting" stories like this! Cheers, Dave

This story is old now, but there is a story in the Daily Express here: www.dailyexpress.co.uk/posts/view/479/Hayley-hits-a-high-note-with-millionaire-beauI am sure Hayley comfirmed the essential part of the story in a TV interview I saw. But an exchange of phone numbers may not mean an exchange of private numbers, and one doesn't fly off in a helicopter in the way one may drive off in a car. There would be flight records and a pilot involved, and I imagine before Hayley went anywhere with a stranger what details they had would be checked out by her management. This guy may not have let on who he was on the flight, but would have had to explain it by the time the helicopter trip was involved. The newspaper describing him as a "beau" was premature. At most it was a date or just a freindly outing.
