Hayley will be on FNIMN on 22nd July at 8pm on Radio 2 with the BBC Concert Orchestra conducted by Richard Balcombe, according to next week's Radio TImes. Also in the Radio Times Hayley previews a tribute concert to Ennio Morricone by the Spaghetti Western Orchestra on Friday 12th August at 10.15pm. This is part of the Proms season, usually previewed by people from Radio 3 so maybe they are finally coming to accept Hayley. (Well, be fair, it's only taken them 10 years.) There is no suggestion that Hayley will be appearing herself but if Shirley Bassey can do a tribute to John Barry at the Classic Brits then who knows ? Maybe next year ??

Thanks Jeff for the update. It is not clear whether the BBC broadcast is live or not. Either way I can find no available tickets. Martin

Oh, so this is the one at the Royal Albert Hall that was posted in the Other Music thread? So, is Hayley just doing the preview on the radio, or is she going to be at the concert itself?

Hello Simba! Hayley will be performing on Friday Night is Music Night next week. We don't think she's performing in the Morricone concert at the Royal Albert Hall on 12th August. Richard

Thanks for the clarification. I was quite confused for a moment! I wish she were performing, but hopefully this will still help people take notice.

Here's a brief summary of this programme on the FNIMN website: It will also feature West End theatre singer Tam Matu. The show is being recorded tomorrow night (Wednesday) at the Mermaid theatre in London. All tickets are sold! Martin

Wow, what an evening! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif A marvellous programme of the most popular Western movie themes and songs performed by the BBC Concert orchestra with Hayley and Tamu Matu* as solo artists. Do listen to it on Friday and you will hear Hayley showing just how versatile she is singing some classic Western songs for the first time (and enjoying every minute of it). I hadn't planned to go last night but as the venue was only a couple of miles from my workplace, and without a ticket, I took a last minute decision to try my luck. When I arrived my gamble paid off as there was a dear old lady at the front of the queue with a spare ticket. Furthermore when the doors opened I was able to get a seat in the front row just feet away from what proved to be Hayley's microphone. So, the concert lasting almost two hours contained all the well known tunes and songs from classic western movies over the last fifty years. Hayley's contribution was: 'Deadwood Stage' from Calamity Jane (fantastic) 'Spring, Spring, Spring' from Seven Brides for Seven Brothers 'Cinema Paradiso' 'Whispers In A Dream' (had the best applause of the night) 'A Million Miles Away Behind the Door' from Paint Your Wagon and then finally one more song from Paint Your Wagon in duet with Tamu but I can't remember the title. Hayley herself was in great form and looking stunning in two (new?) dresses. Unfortunately, I have no photo evidence! Perhaps she will wear them again at King's Lynn on Sunday. I had a quick word with Hayley after the show (it was raining hard!) and let her know that there was a good HWI contingent going on Sunday. She then left for an early morning start and rehearsals for the King's Lynn concert. Yee-Ha! Martin * Tamu Matu has a superb voice and is currently appearing as the alternate Phantom in Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical 'Love Never dies'. He was also completely Hayleywowed.

Thanks for sharing, Martin! Do you remember what colors the dresses were? I didn't know Cinema Paradiso or The Mission were western movies?
