Sir Terry Wogan presents his Sunday morning show, easing listeners into their Sunday lunch with music and musings. This week he chats to American TV and film actor and director Larry Hagman, best known for playing JR Ewing in Eighties soap opera Dallas and Major Anthony Nelson in Sixties sitcom I Dream Of Jeannie.
Visiting the studio to perform is New Zealand soprano and crossover singer Hayley Westenra, whose 2003 album, Pure, catapulted her to international fame at the tender age of 16 and whose new album, Paradiso, is due for release in the UK in August.

Excellent! A live slot on the UK's biggest radio station (4 times bigger audience than Classic FM), on at a very popular time compared to previous album releases and with a very popular DJ among Hayley's main demographic. And the download EP you mentioned elsewhere to enable it!
I'd love to be able to listen...but unfortunately I'll be on holiday then!! :-(

I'll be on holiday too. I had several goes at Terry Wogan about Hayley when he was still doing his breakfast show on Radio 2. I always felt that Terry would love her if he ever properly listened to her music. I never had any success, although he must have known who she was because of her work for Children in Need. Glad to hear he is finally recognising her.
Just a reminder that Hayley will be performing on Weekend Wogan this coming Sunday, 17th July 2011, between 11am and 1pm. You should be able to listen live via the button in the top right corner of this page:
