Hi Grant! I think those are the same earrings as from Io Canto? Great photos! Sounds like you had a fabulous time! (So excited for when I'll be able to do my first concert reports! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif ) Cheers, Jillian

I was wondering if that was actually that black dress she's worn a couple of times - once at one of the BOB concerts last summer - but it was hard to tell from that angle, and especially since she had a red belt. I actually prefer it without the red belt. And I'm still hoping for concert photos, Grant. You haven't said (or I missed it if you did) whether you were able to take any during the concert or not.

Sorry to disappoint Libby but you've seen everything I took. I rarely take pictures during a concert as my camera is quite noisy meaning I would have to take pictures during applause and I cannot bring myself to NOT applaud Hayley i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifBest wishes Grant

You need to get a quieter camera then. If I ever see Hayley in concert here, I doubt I'll be able to take a picture during the concert, either, because any venue she would be likely to be at would probably be a theater, and theaters these days nearly always prohibit photography. So, I guess I can't complain.

Yes, Libby, it can be a problem. Some are horrified at the thought that people might take photos, or even worse videos and publish them. I'm not very sure why. What harm can they do? Usually the quality is not up to professional standards anyway, so it won't detract from sales of commercial albums or videos. Intead it is a taster of what the artist is about, and can be used to promote the artist. I only know of one situation I have come across where it might be justified, and that is where DVD's of the artists concert performance are for sale at the venue (and yes, I have experienced that). In that case there is no point in trying to make your own videos, since the performance (or a similar one) is on record anyway.

Ah, so you think I should hire him to come to Seattle to do my photographing for me? :2fun: I'd love to! He's a superb photographer. But he hasn't been around much on the forum lately.

Hi Libby,
Yes I bought the camera Karsten recommended. It can be totally silent and totally dark. And it is black. And even makes half decent videos (I'm sure you have seen some I made with it), although low light still photos are nowhere near as good as an SLR.
