Hello Anshita!  Unfortunately we only found out that Hayley was joining Andrea Bocelli in Jakarta when she tweeted the news a couple of days before the concert. We did post the information here as soon as we knew, so at least we did better than her official website.  Jillian, thanks for the Taipei articles. I've posted a link on our Facebook page. Well, I'm glad whoever made that video uploadeded it, despite the obvious problems with people moving about in front and the lighting. I have may videos like that that I haven't uploaded anywhere becuse of problems like that.
But with concert videos, you only get one chance, and you usually need to conceal your camera too. I'm speaking from experience here.
But this is a unique performance that deserved to be recorded depite that. So thank you "mingchunglin", you have recorded an unique piece of history.

I have to say... WOW! As much as I love Andrea Bocelli and his voice, from some of the recent videos I had seen, I thought he was loosing some of the colour of his voice and vocal skills (something not uncommon with aging singers)... However, I am surprised, he was in top form here, and very, very powerful... And, ofcourse, Hayley is stunning as always, impressive duuet, certainly one of the most epic combinations made in Classical Crossover world. I loved specially Can't Help Falling in Love, I love that song, love how Andrea sings it and now the duet version with Hayleytakes it to an even higher level! The other shown in the videos are stunning too!

I love these videos!! This performance of The Prayer by Hayley is much better than the one with Russell Watson. And I'm just talking about Hayley herself, not the duet partner. Because with Russell, she seemed to struggle a bit with the ear piece, so she kind of messed up at one part, and she sounded more shaky. This time she was flawless!! And if it comes to it, yes, I do like Andrea's voice better than Russell's. So that makes it even better for me! There is another person who uploaded Canto Della Terra and Can't Help Falling in Love. The view is a little more clear, and the sound seems a little bit better too. I'll post them if you want. |

Thanks for the links Richard. Tis must have been quite a night! Perhaps the two finest voices in the world right now performing together.
And Libby, if there is a better version I would love to see/hear it. These are certain to end up on my 2011 Hayley Highlights CD, so better sound quality would be good!
