Hi Stephany I remember Roger telling us that Hayley did not know anything about it. Thats what worried me. I don't think Hayley would want to think people were being conned. I wish there was a way of knowing what the situation is with all this. It would be a weight lifted. I'd shut up then! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif

I agree with you, Jon. But Hayley's management probably picked someone they trust to run her Myspace so there should be no problem. Or so I hope. I think that is about how it is, Stephany. Just to correct Jon very slightly, Hayley did know about her Myspace but, at the time, she had never seen it. She laughed at the idea that she would have time to run it but that doesn't mean she wouldn't write something for it occasionally. I imagine the same is true of gather.com. Roger

Hi Jon, This is something all record companies do for most popular singers, the record company signs up with MySpace or Gather, probably pays them, and uses it as an extra "official website" with only an occasional contribution from the singer. Popular singers rarely if ever have the time to run their own websites or other sites (of any kind) and it's unlikely that will ever change. My grumble is that MySpace and the record companies do not make it clear that this is what happens. They should be made to post a big message at the top " This site is run by Decca UK (or Universal US) to promote [A.N.Y. famous singer]"But then, they wouldn't get as many hits from people who currently believe it's run by the singer they like. Unfortunately, big business works like that but stopping this 'sharp practice' will be hard and it will take a very long time. It's not Hayley's (or any singer's) fault - it's just the way big business is run, in general. Cheers, Dave

Thanks for clearing that up Roger and Dave. At least we know it was definitely Hayley answering those questions.
