Dori live text update on the proceedings.. tvnz.co.nz/national-news/live-updates-christchurch-quake-memorial-service-4071417according to a program i downloaded... the national anthem is twice, once at the start and end. amazing grace is after the lords prayer and a couple of readings [somewhere near the middle i guess]

Managed to play the video OK with Firefox and even record it with Freecorder 4 (but you need to be quick and stop the vid before it moves onto the next one or you'll lose it).
I fond it very moving too! And I feel very proud of Hayley for doing what she is doing to help.

Near the end of the service, Hayley sang 'God Defend New Zealand' along with Dame Malvina Major. As the service ends, a special and impromptu "Pokarekare Ana" was sung by Hayley. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif I was so glad to have been able to watch this telecast live, and seeing Hayley perform live with friends like you across the world, made it especially touching for me personally. Dave Dobbyn was on form, was't he? The crowd is staying put! I thought Dame Malvina was not her best (putting it mildly).

Hello everyone
The memorial service has just ended - didn't know whether or not I would have the energy to stay up to watch - had a long and busy day, but I'm so glad I did. Hayley was amazing and so too was everyone else taking part.
I even enjoyed the speeches - I'm not usually a 'speech' person but the feeling of unity amongst New Zealanders was overwhelming. The most moving aspect for me came towards the end when they showed a video dedicated to all the professionals; volunteers and supporters who were faced with the horrific task of looking for survivors and those not so lucky following the devastating earthquake on February 22nd which received a continuous standing ovation.
Much of Christchurch may have been destroyed and true, the city will never be the same again, its people, I feel will be stronger for it and I'm sure Hayley will look back and be happy that she did her bit and did it with grace, compassion and strength.
Best wishes Grant

Hi All, I stayed up as well, a very moving service and thank you Juliette for the information. Gordon in my unbiased opinion, Hayley was amazing!! was working at the time, so no speeches but thanks to impecacble timing; a text and a tweet, i managed to catch amazing grace and also the nat anthem. her performance of amazing grace really was amazing, loved the announcers description of her as canterburys favorite export [or something silmilar]. the spiderman
