I wouldn't call any of her dresses that I've seen bizarre. I admit maybe one or two may not have been my absolute favorite style or color (Emerald Ivy Ball, Marley & Me), but nothing really inappropriate or off-the-wall.

ok...perhaps bizarre was a bit much...how about...dresses that make you wonder "what was she thinking?" perhaps that is alittle better...?

Well, I may have thought that for the Emerald Ivy Ball outfit. It was certainly different than anything she'd worn before. As for the Marley & Me dress, I just wasn't crazy about the colors. "What was she thinking?" is kind of similar to "bizarre". In my head, I would probably say, "I hope she wears something better next time".

*She'll release an album in March.
*She'll visit Canada.
*She'll earn a Classical Brit nomination for her latest album.
*With the contract fulfilled, she'll leave Decca and become independent.
*She'll feature on at least one other movie soundtrack.

I think March is too late to be nominated for this year's CBA's. That's why Treasure wasn't nominated until 2008. But I'm really hoping your first 2, and your last predictions come true. A significant movie soundtrack might not come till 2012 though. But it's quite likely she'll do others, too.

I strongly believe she'll leave Decca after this album, but what she'll do after that, I don't know.

*With the contract fulfilled, she'll leave Decca and become independent. Possibly Nicola, but the problem is, we don't know what the contract is, any more. There has been at least one renegotiation of it, and possibly two. Also, as you hint, and as Steve Abbott said to me not too many moons ago, where would she go? There have been one or two predictions of a March album release, well they are going to have to get a move on to do that, time is already getting very short. I expect it to be later than that and possibly very much later, as I think it is easy to underestimate the disruption and delay caused by the change of management late last year. There are many many things that will have to mesh with the album release to maximise the sales and I don't think there will have been time to organise everything yet. Concerts or tours in the Far East? Definitely! Nobody can afford to ignore Hayley's huge popularity in Taiwan so I think that will be on the agenda. It would make sense to try and fit in Japan at the same time. UK and/or NZ too? Probably but other than that, I wouldn't like to predict any others for this year. Classical Brits? Well as long as the new album is released in 2011 and is among the top ten best-selling 'classical' albums of the year, it will be nominated for the 2012 "Best Album" category, I think that's automatic. But that's off topic as it's next year! Film soundtracks? Well I hope so! I was very interested to see Debbie Wiseman mentioned in Hayley's recent tweet... Cheers, Dave

Good grief, last year? It seems like it just happened! Anyway... And we already know she's going to Japan in June, don't we? "The Beauty Within" tour? Maybe that means the album could be released sometime before then? And would she leave her record company so soon after leaving Bedlam? Maybe they'll see how well Bandana and Decca do for this new album first.

Nic, I hope you're right about Hayley coming to Canada this year. However judging by the U S hits on her youtube she receives it seems to make more sense to come to the U S. Larry

However judging by the U S hits on her youtube she receives it seems to make more sense to come to the U S. Larry I'd second that. In fact, if Hayley wants to tour the US, she better do it ASAP before we "forget" what Classical Crossover means.

Not necessarily. Canada has fewer provinces than the U.S., so that means fewer stops, and fewer expenses. Montreal, Toronto, Winnipeg, and Vancouver are the most major cities in Canda. I kind of doubt she'd do the smaller provinces, or Sask.
Of course, she wouldn't have to go to every city in the U.S., either. So as far as that goes it probably wouldn't be much better than touring Canada. Since Hayley mentioned Canada as a possibility for touring in the near future (in one of Nicola's interviews, too!), I think it's quite likely.
And we know Canadians do like her. Her albums did very well in Canada's classical charts. They also like Celtic Woman there; that's actually where Hayley first heard of them.

I said Canada because of what she said to me in our interview.

I mentioned that in my post above. I never forget important details like that.

And Canada usually features in the top ten countries for hits on my YouTube channel (exclusively vids of Hayley's performances). The US has always been higher though, always in the top 3.

My thoughts for 2011:
-Hayley will release what is probably her final album for Decca/Universal around Easter, UK, Ireland and NZ only.
-Hayley will not renew her contract with Decca, deciding she wants to do what makes her happy, not others.
-Hayley will not return to the US, the time for her to break the US market is past.
-Hayley will go public with her relationship as part of moving the focus onto doing what she wants.
-Hayley will still keep mum about why she didn't continue with CW, and, in the unlikely event there is a CW reunion, she will not participate.
-Hayley will not sing for the royal wedding, being deemed too much of a lightweight musically.
