Time to dust off the crystal ball and make fresh predictions for the new year. I'll go first: - Hayley will perform a wonderful duet with Jules Knight (the bloke from Blake) at the Royal Wedding.
- Hayley will become close personal friends with Kate.
- HWI's Forum will undergo a facelift and change its background colors to gold and purple.
- Hayley will help fund a classical crossover music school in Ghana.
- Hayley will leave London and relocate to Paris by late October.
- The Westenras will have their own reality show that becomes the gold standard of Kiwi reality programming.
- Hayley will be offered the lead role in a new Andrew Lloyd Webber production.
- Jackie Evancho will somehow master the song "Pokarekare Ana" and make it her new signature.
- Hayley will record a spirited duet with Taylor Swift which soon turns into a world-wide anthem.
- Hayley will take up skiing or snowboarding and become a fixture on the Swiss slopes.
So that's my list. Please add your own predictions when the inspiration hits!

Hi stevemacdonald! What an interesting thread! We'll have to check back at the end of this year to see if we're right! Here's my predictions (along with some wishful thinking!!! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif(-- Hayley's new album will be released with much critical acclaim and will outsell 'Pure' . -- Hayley will record a PBS special live from Rome with the Roma Sinfonetta Orchestra and release it on DVD. -- Hayley will have a world tour with dates in Taiwan, China, Japan, UK, New Zealand, Australia, France, Germany, Italy and USA. -- Hayley's new album will be the highest selling Western album in Taiwan for 2011. -- Hayley will perform at the Royal Wedding in April ( i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif If I say it enough times it will come true) -- Hayley will win her long awaited Classical Brit award for her new album. Cheers, Jillian

Dunno if I should even try this. I did something similar a couple of years ago - and I got a lot of things right inclusing prediciting the release date (then unknown) of HSJS2 to within a week. But that time I had a strong feeling about those things, this time I don't so I'm a lot less confident.
I don't actually feel I have a clue about the release date of Hayley's new album. But...
- Hayley's new album will be a huge hit, and will win album of the year at the Classical Brits. - Hayley will release TWO new albums this year, the second in the autumn consisting mainly of her own songs (and a duet with Michael Buble). - Hayley will embark on a major world tour (not really difficult that one). - OK I'll try it - Hayleys new album will be released in March. - Hayley will perform for the service men and women in Afghanistan. - Hayley will once again perform a Christmas show in the Barbican. And this time I will be there.

Martin, I have more confidence in your predictions than most of Steve's! Jillian, I really like your predictions about the PBS special in Rome (it could happen!), and the tour that includes the USA! Steve, Jackie could certainly sing Pokarekare Ana if she wanted to, but it wouldn't be nearly as good. And do we really want her to steal Hayley's thunder (what little thunder she ever had, at least)? It's already Hayley's signature song; Jackie needs her own. If Jackie must sing a song by Hayley, it would be better if Hayley wrote one for her. Hayley has indicated she might write songs for other people. Now, a Westenra family reality show would be very interesting, but they're probably too normal and non-scandalous for that! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifHayley isn't likely to move to Paris, even if... ...because her record company/management are based in London. That doesn't mean she couldn't live there at all, of course, I just don't see her packing up and leaving London permanently anytime soon. I doubt that Hayley's album will be nominated for the 2011 CBA's, though. Treasure wasn't nominated till a year after its release. I would imagine the same thing will happen with her next one. It wouldn't be out in time to be nominated. I still hope she goes, though, if only to see her in another new dress! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif We could predict what color dress she'll wear instead. I really want to see her wear that purple Lindka dress again. My predictions would resemble some of Jillian's and Martin's, but I have a couple to add: - Hayley will be the guest performer in the Mormon Tabernacle Choir's Christmas production next year The MTC informed me Hayley is in their future plans. The performance wouldn't be televised till 2012, though- they record the shows for a live audience, but don't air them till the following season. - Hayley will sing at one of Japan's very popular, televised Ice shows. Figure skating is the most popular sport in Japan. The shows are always sold out! Plus, many international skaters perform in the shows, not just the Japanese. And several Japanese skaters have skated to Hayley's songs before! Both these things could very well happen. Bedlam told me they were both good ideas. I just need to contact Bandana now. I have the letter all ready to send soon after the holidays.

I thought we were doing predictions for Hayley, not Sophie.
Spiderman, you don't actually believe Jackie won't still be famous, after just producing a best-selling album, do you? You may not like her, but a lot of people are amazed by her.

I thought we were doing predictions for Hayley, not Sophie. Spiderman, you don't actually believe Jackie won't still be famous, after just producing a best-selling album, do you? You may not like her, but a lot of people are amazed by her. the music world is littered with supposely famous people who simply drop away after one album, or even one song; susan boyle for example has already been consigned to the chat circuit. one problem tends to be the novelty aspect... jackie is most regarded for being a child who is allegedly talented; when she grows up maybe not so much so. but this isnt the place for this arguement so we should agree to differ for the while i think also this should be a positive thread.... looking forward to what should be a fabulous new year for hayley. a year marked by a new album; the occasional tour... and a time for her to be more special than she already is. steve set the precedent for the sophie prediction by making one for the whole family. though i do think a reality tv show is a somewhat intriguing idea. maybe they value their privacy too much though the spiderman

Well, don't be negative about Jackie or Susan (who is still famous) if we're trying to be positive.

Hello folks! This thread has drifted away from its original intention as a bit of fun, so it's now too off-topic (or rather on-topic) for the Off-Topic board and the Funny sub-board. I'm now moving it to Miscellaneous. Richard

what will 2011 hold in store for hayley...well...i see more touring in her future as well as plenty of pictures of her at different events in sometimes pretty bizarre dresses...not that her dresses are always or even mostly bizarre...but i have seen some questionable ones in my opinion...i foresee her to still be as beautiful as she is today...a new cd definately hopefully with a numerous amout of original songs written by her...i see her playing many concerts in the eastern hemisphere...mostly oriental nations and the U.K...and that folks...are my predictions...
and i must say...this is a pretty good thread...now lets see how many of us are right :-D
