Hi Libby, I thought that too - however, when I saw Dave's screenshots, they look a bit different. The heel and the platform seem to be black, whereas the red shoes were all red satin. Although, it could just be lighting which is making the shoes look that way. These are the 'We Will Remember Them' launch shoes: Cheers, Jillian

I need to see the "Children In Need" shoes up close for proof.

Perhaps Hayley has several sets, so she has a colour for all occasions? Meanwhile, here is the longer version of Songbird that I promised for the forum. I like it better than the short version but I didn't want to upload it to YT in case casual viewers didn't bother waiting for the long intro to finish. I hope that wasn't a mistake! Songbird with full intro 3m:05s 40MB 1.8kbps h.264/avc .avi file Songbird with full intro 3m:05s 40MB 1.8kbps .wmv/windows media file As usual, if you download the file and still can't play it, get VLC Player from their official site www.videolan.org/vlc/Cheers, Dave

I didn't know there was a shorter and longer version. What long intro? The piano intro? If people aren't patient enough to wait for that, then phooey on them. Don't punish the rest of us.

Thanks, Dave for the longer video. It is great. Libby, At about 00:32-00:38 into the longer video I think I'm seeing red shoes. Or, is it my imagination? Bill

Libby, who's punishing? I've just posted the longer version. Twice! I could upload to YT the long version too, if everyone thinks that's a good idea. Dave

I'm talking about the fans who might only see it on youtube. Not every Hayley fan is a HWI member and will find your links to the longer version. Well, at least they'll hear all of the singing part. I still think the red shoes are the same. The shape appears exactly the same. However, I think the earrings might be the frog pearl ones, and not new as I originally thought. I do wonder why one would wear a necklace that's just going to be hidden below your top, though.

But it's not only about providing what the fans want (i.e. every second of everything), it's also about trying to attract new fans to Hayley and there is a balance to be struck. So sometimes, to get a video up quickly, I have to make quick judgements about how much to include and occasionally, I wish the next day that I'd edited one differently. But the forum always gets the lot, one way or another.
I have linked to this thread and the HWI website from the Youtube video if anyone wants to find out more, but the question remains, is the longer version so much better that we now need both versions up on Youtube? That would split the views and lower them in the Youtube search rankings.

These are the 'We Will Remember Them' launch shoes: Cheers, Jillian That does seem to be the pair she wore to this BBC event, though the constantly changing lighting on the stage make definitive identification impossible. On a side note, women's sense of balance never cease to amaze me. I can't imagine myself standing on shoes like those without toppling over, let alone walking on them. I have linked to this thread and the HWI website from the Youtube video if anyone wants to find out more, but the question remains, is the longer version so much better that we now need both versions up on Youtube? That would split the views and lower them in the Youtube search rankings. Dave I believe the one currently in YT is OK, yes the intro is nice but it's not essential to the performance. Going forward, however, I'd suggest to include intros as long as they're not unnecessarily long.

Hi Dave, Thanks for also providing the link to the extended version! It's lovely to have it saved and also a bit bigger. What a lovely performance. As for the extended bit, it's nice as it gives a bit of atmosphere to the occasion (and shows Hayley striding towards the microphone in those massive shoes! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif) but I'm not sure if it quite warrants uploading another video - the spectacular bit of the song is all there in its glory. At any rate, it's not a bad idea to keep some exclusive material for HWI. It provides an incentive for casual readers of the forum to keep checking back. Cheers, Jillian

Hello Dave! Thanks for the extended video. I agree it should be an exclusive for the forum, so the shorter YouTube version on our website can stay as it is. There are several links to it on Twitter, and it's had over 500 views already. Best wishes, Richard

Okay, so it's not a big deal. I wouldn't have known the difference if you hadn't told me. At first I thought you meant part of the song was missing. However, the piano intro wasn't that long. I don't think it necessary to post 2 videos. Just maybe next time ask our opinion first? I don't see why anything has to be exclusive to this forum. It sounds like fans who aren't members of this forum are second class somehow, and don't deserve it because they aren't special enough.
