Hi Libby I certainly wouldn't say Hayley looked 'silly' in the other hat. Have you seen women who attend Boxing Day Races? They wear hats just like that. WOW, what AMAZING photos!!! Who designed all of that frock for Hayley!? Dori The most watched horse race in the U S is the Kentucky Derby. All the ladies wear grand hats and drink mint julips. Larry

I didn't say Hayley was silly-looking, I said the hat was. Yes, I've seen the big hats ladies wear at the Kentucky Derby. Never mind.

Tracy, the hat from last year looked nothing like a Derby hat. It was supposed to make her look like a poppy or something. By silly, I meant it as funny. I didn't mean it in a bad way. Oh, I am so tired of explaining or defending myself on this forum. Anyway, I was mainly trying to say that I like the one she wore yesterday better than the one she wore last year. The whole outfit is nicer.

You certainly don't have to defend yourself in any way, As I said I cannot comment on the other hat as I haven't seen it and I think Hayley looks great in this latest outfit. To me as I said the HAT reminds ME of the hats that a lot of women wear to the race meetings in Broken Hill, I agree Hayley looks fantastic so no worries at all. much love Tracy.

For the record, I thought Hayley looked adorable in the "silly" hat I was referring to.

haha. i know this is a dumb question, but isnt it a poppy on a headband not a hat? technically.
oh and i agree with libby. what was her tailor[?] thinking. it looks lovely on her though, its very nicely offset by the dress... just delightfully impractical.

Hi everyone, What is the song played during Churchill's speech? I'm sure I've already heard it, it sounds so familiar, but I can't remember where... So any help appreciated Thank you Kind regards, Juliette Hi Juliette, It is "Jerusalem", a hymn which is always played at the Last Night of the Proms, and is one of the main candidates for a possible English National Anthem (the other main contender being Land of Hope and Glory). It is currently being played at the Commonwealth Games in India, at the Medal Ceremony when an English athlete wins a Gold Medal. Cheers, Dave

Hi Juliette,
Dave gave you already the answer, while i was looking for that song. i wasn't sure about Jerasulem, so had to look for a cd where it was on.... I found a version by Blake, and yes...thats the song, Jerusalem. After hearing parts of the album, We will remember them....my conclusion , a must have !!!!

I saw that a Kiwi athlete won a medal in India, too. Alison Shanks, or somebody. They need to start playing Hayley's version of God Defend NZ whenever a Kiwi wins a gold medal. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif
