Hi Libby,
I'm sure you can find a way to play it. It should play ok on a computer, and with suitable software, it should be possible to burn a DVD in NTSC format from it, but you might need some technical help to do that. Unfortunately I've never done that (or had the need to do that) myself.

If there are other PAL/other region DVD's you might want to watch. Amazon.com is selling a Phillips DVP3560 DVD player for $39 including postage. (Walmart has the same price). This converts PAL to NTSC and vice versa. You can also make it play any region DVD by inputting a code. It also has a USB input.

Well, I just got a response from them today:
"At present we only have a PAL version which is generally not suitable in the US which requires NTSC on most DVD players. However we are looking at producing the NTSC format & will advise should we do this in the near future. we hear what you are saying & we will discuss it tomorrow & come back to you with an answer. I think we will likely find a solution.
Sorry for the inconvenience."
I feel encouraged by this, so I'm going to at least wait and see what they tell me.

My 2 copies arrived today. I have just watched the DVD but will not spoil it for those who have not yet seen it. I will say there is a lot more of the performances from the 2 concerts than I was led to believe. I only wish it could have been longer!

Hi folks ,I have just watched the "official" DVD ,and although of course it's fantastic ,it seems a wasted opportunity .They could have put it in 5.1 surround sound,and as a bonus had the full concert ,without the documentory .These are small grips ,but are perhaps expected from any new DVDs now .Apart from that it shows Hayley as the fantastic individual she is ,and the one we have all come to love .It was also nice to see Karsten and a lot of the other people I am begining to recognise now.

My copy of this has arrived and has been played in full There are about six full pieces from the Derry and Belfast concerts on it. A couple of them are Fiona and Ian at their very best ! An absolute MUST for any Hayley collector ! |
