It seems as though this film should be out by now. It's been over a year since it was filmed! Still no word on its release? Maybe someone should ask her about it at her next concert?

Perhaps they're having problems with securing distribution? Hopefully it will see the light of day -- even if it is included as a bonus on a DVD disc with the special edition of Hayley's next international release.  I have to admit that I had wondered what kind of market they're aiming this for. It's not as marketable as something like a PBS special, as it's not a film of an entire concert set up especially for camera -- those Ireland concerts, while amazing, seemed to be a fairly stripped back, 'be there' experience. It would be quite suited to a special interest TV show on Pay TV as it would sit nicely with the geographical 'tourist' programs. You mean for her Christmas concerts? The focus then will probably be her album, but maybe the DVD will come out then, too.

Hi Libby,
Of course everything will be focused on Hayley's new album,
but this DVD is not a Decca release.
It is only waiting now, for the release.
IMO the distributor can give it more exposure, when Hayley is touring Northern Ireland again.....and that will be Belfast.
I hope we don't have to wait to long to see the DVD.!!

Hi all, There are no news about a release of the DVD, but at least the film will be shown at the Waterford Film Festival in Ireland. According to filmbase.ie/news/index.php/2009/10/23/3rd-annual-waterford-film-festival-programme-launched/ the festival will take place from 6 - 8th of November 2009 and it's announced, that "... screening at the festival is Hayley Westenra on tour in Northern Ireland. Kate Garbutt , interviews Haley who shows what it is like being on tour and gives an insight to her life. ..." Cheers, Karsten |

I send a couple of days ago a message to DFT enterprises, the distibutor of the film, and asked them if they know when the DVD will be released.
This is the answer i got,
Hi there,
We still have no news on this. There has been a hold up between her
management and the record label. It has been very frustrating for us
as you can imagine. We will send out a press release when it is available.

Thanks for investigating this. What a pity that things don't seem to be running smoothly with its release. I suppose Decca want to release it when it can be accompanied by a release or a tour.
My hope is that it will be available for purchase as merchandise when Hayley tours her new album sometime this year.
