Hi everyone, I just found an exciting news (in Traditional Chinese, [ftp]http://news.sina.com.tw/article/20100910/3765179.html[/ftp])! Hayley will sing for the World Expo closing ceremony on Oct 30, Shanghai! I hope there will be a live television coverage for that. The news also said that she will sing some Chinese songs or Taiwanese folk songs in her Taiwan concerts...it will definitely be a smash hit!

Maybe that means there'll be some songs like that on the Taiwanese version of her album. Oh, how many CDs will I need to buy, and how easy will that one be to get? I don't know much about the World Expo. But it's great that Hayley will sing for it!

I'll keep an eye on it, and don't worry, there are some web-shops that can buy CDs from Taiwan and send them abroad.

So, is Hayley performing 2 separate times in Shanghai, on the same day? One at the World Expo closing ceremony, and another at the Shanghai Grand Theatre? Or are they the same thing?

The Grand Theatre in Shanghai in fact consists of three theatres with the main one being the Lyric Theatre where Hayley will be performing. It has a capacity of 1800 so let's hope that it is a sell-out. I would be going but a return fare of around £700 is a bit prohibitive! Martin

Well, you said: Hayley will sing for the World Expo closing ceremony on Oct 30, Shanghai! So that's why I was wondering if this was a separate performance or not.

Well, you said: Hayley will sing for the World Expo closing ceremony on Oct 30, Shanghai! So that's why I was wondering if this was a separate performance or not. Sorry for the confusion. In the beginning I thought the 2 performances will be on the same day, because the local news of Taiwan didn't specify the date of the World Expo closing ceremony. So allow me to clarify it here: The Shanghai concert is on Oct 30, whereas the World Expo closing ceremony is on the next day, Oct 31.

Thanks! Your link to the World Expo news didn't work. You wrote the address right, but when you click on it, it shows ftp before the http, and the slashes are in the wrong place. I fixed it: news.sina.com.tw/article/20100910/3765179.html
