Hi Jennifer and welcome to the forum from Central England. I am very glad you found us and hope you enjoy your time here.
Thank you so much for your excellent concert report and set list - did you have good seats? With such a large venue Hayley would be a mere spec on the stage for many.
I look forward to your future posts.
Best wishes Grant

I still think this was Hayley's largest audience anywhere in the World for one of her own solo concerts, judging by your reports and the photo, I'd say there could indeed have been close to 15,000 people there, amazing! Dave Hi Dave, I think it was actually sold out. Frank Lin said on Twitter that there were people who wanted to be there who were unable to get tickets. I remember reading in one of the accounts that they had put in extras seats, so it could have been more than 15,000! I gather that there were a few empty seats at Shanghai though! Martin D

To sell so many tickets will not go unnoticed by her new management. It really does open up a new opportunity for Hayley in the future.

Sorry Jennifer, I was rude.
I meant to welcome you to our forum and to thank you for your report. To read of such things lifts my soul, and does my heart good.
I agree, and have said many times before that you really do have to see Hayley live. There is nothing like it, without doubt the greatest musical experience I have ever had. My first experiance of Hayley was at a live performance when she was sixteen. I had never heard her music before. And I was blown away.
I consider myself fortunate that I am able to get to see her perform live a few times every year. I want that to continue forever, but I know that those of you in other parts of the world are not so fortunate.
And Bandana, Hayley's new management, if you read this, please understand what you have here. The finest singer of her generation, and of my lifetime, perhaps ever. Can you handle that? Kaoshiung has shown you what can be achieved. It should be possible worldwide with the right promotion. In Taiwan it is like Beatlemania. Except that Hayley remains modest and grounded, the same sweet girl that she always was. That is special believe me, not many can handle it.
Hayley has a hugely positive attitude. You have seen that before with Yes. Relayer, and the "Gates of Delerium", a sort of precursor of Karl Jenkins' "The Armed Man", finds something positive even in the horrors of all out war. Hayley is even more positive believe me. Her voice is a beautiful gift from God to the world. Please see that for what it is, realise that it has the power to change peoples lives for the better (I know of several cases where this has happened), and make sure that as much of the world as possible has the opportunity to hear her. And I mean live, the only real way. Her records, good as they are, have never done her justice.
Yes, there are some that are deaf to the Star Song (ref Calvin Miller), who understand only Earth Songs. But many others will respond to Hayley, as Kaoshiung has shown. With the right support, the world could be changed and made into a better place. One that seeks peace and beauty, rather than death and destructon in the cause of greed. Isn't that worth working for?
And Hayley says it is only entertainment. It is much more than that!

Thank you all for welcoming me to the forum. I didn't realize that the concert that night might possibly be the biggest for Hayley and guess what, according to what I've heard, there will be even more people tonight in Taipei. Hopefully someone will write a review then. grant: There were two huge screens beside the stage showing Hayley's performance simultaneously, so everyone can see her pretty clearly. With Sarah Brightman showing signs of weakness lately, popera needs a new queen and I think Hayley definitely looks good for it. She has everything it takes to be the successor of Sarah Brightman. What she needs right now is probably a strong team of composers and producer like David Foster who would produce songs that belong to Hayley alone.

Hi, Cherry, we can't wait to see! Jcchen, the video said it was "private", so I couldn't watch it. Thanks for the wonderful review! Did she wear the red dress for the whole concert, or did she wear a different one after the interval? I was wondering about her silence on Twitter. I seem to remember a Chinese fan on the official forum saying they can't use Twitter in China. Internet access seems to be a bit restricted there. And I'm wondering if the Chinese press has any footage of Hayley at the World Expo yet.
