20-year-old Aselin Debison is set to release CD number four this summer. The young singer-songwriter has limitless talent in many genres of music. The first album, a Christmas CD recorded when Aselin was just 9 years old, she then went on to release a Celtic-based CD, followed by a pop album. The newest one is folk / roots, with a tinge of country.
Entitled "Homeward Bound", the new album features12 tracks. Aselin co-wrote half of the album with other writers, including her fiance Jonathan Ettinger. The rest of the CD features tracks she picked up over the last few years, including four from Gordie Sampson, and a cover of Simon & Garfunkel's 'Homeward Bound', the title track.
Aselin noted that since the five years since her last CD "Bigger Than Me" music has never left her. She starts her third year at St. Francis Xavier University this fall in the human kinetics program.
No longer under the Sony label, "Homeward Bound" will be an independent release.
A single from the CD 'Close To Home' is receiving excellent airplay.
