Yes, Hayley seems to be stranded in Glasgow - because of snow in London! All short-haul flights in and out of London Heathrow have now been cancelled for the rest of today, so that would include to and from Glasgow. We are seeing amazing TV pictures from a helicopter of planes stuck on snow covered runways and the flight crew waving out of the windows to the news helicopter! Glad that Glasgow concert went well and thanks for the photos already! Dave

Hi all, The Glasgow Metro gazette headlined on Thursday, one day before the concert: 'Worst weather for a century - and it starts today', snow, blizzards, etc. Well, we got a quite nice day, cold, but sunny. (The snow came on Saturday.) Unfortunately the weather was not everywhere as fine, as we learned Andy and his colleagues had a few problems to fly from London. But all were there right in time on the day of the concert - so having the Bridgewater Hall in mind I could only expect the best. Honestly I couldn't expect any better - and I found no real differences between the concerts. (With the exception that at least at this evening most of the people with a cold didn't go to the doctor, they went to this very concert - e.g. at the beginning of 'O Holy Night' it was difficult to hear Hayley even amplified, so she started after a 'Bless you' again.) We got a very relaxed and self-confident Hayley, showing no sign of a cold, backed by a superb band (Raven with a real highlight - the whole auditorium clapped their hands during their piece, Tim on the piano, Andy with his guitar, Tom Kenrick (Bass) and Michael Simmonds (Kit)). My highlights were again Veni Veni and the NZ carol Te Harinui, arranged by Tim. And, not to forget, Thomas Oliver with the German carol 'Still, Still, Still', sung without any remarkable accent - whilst Hayley (completely understandable re the location) refrained to sing 'Silent Night' with the original lyrics. During her conferences Hayley announced shortly that the next Christmas will be the first not being at home. The time of the concert ran by - as usually too fast, obviously for Hayley, too - she had to stop Tim after the first seconds of the encore, but she had to urge the public to stand up, a really funny moment. Afterwards Paddy and I met Andy and his parents for a short chat and even Hayley and Sara found a few moments to talk before they disappeared into the cold night. Cheers, Karsten PS: Obviously the weather forecast was followed by the reality 2 days delayed.

:)Thank you very much for the photos...Hayley certainly looks beautiful in those dresses (not that she doesn't normally! ) Hi all, During her conferences Hayley announced shortly that the next Christmas will be the first not being at home. I have to say I was a little surprised to read this...although perhaps not so much with the weather being the way it is...I think even if she'd planned to go home it would be very difficult to fly home with the airports closed and everything with the snow...i expect this will disappoint many in NZ though. Anyway, back to the concerts.... I was actually considering going to this one with my friends a while ago as we were planning on going to Glasgow for a Christmas treat... but they didn't like the idea very much after a while- although they like some of the songs on her Christmas album they're still not overly impressed with her so that was the end of that idea!! Mind u i guess it's sort of just as well...as i'm currently stuck in my house! anyway, thanks again for the photos so far... I'm keeping my fingers crossed for tomorrow...I hope it goes smoothly for everyone involved in this concert...i.e. Hayley, the band, and the audience!! best wishes to everyone Sing

Actually I'm not that surprised that Hayley is not going to NZ, simply because although everyone here seemed to think she would go as usual, as far as I know she has never mentioned it herself. I think she usually would have done if she had been planning to go.

I'm sure that Hayley will be seeing her family some time between now and the launch of the album. She will probably have some time off before all of that starts to go to New Zealand. Cheers, Jillian

Sing, I don't know why it would disappoint people in NZ (besides her family); it's not like they get to go to her house with her! And I'm sure Jillian's right, she'll most likely be going home eventually, just not in time for Christmas. I just wonder how long it is between "now and the launch of the album". That could be a while! That could be a couple of months! She said "early in the year", but that could even be April, as far as we know. Even March would seem a long time, too.

Sing, I don't know why it would disappoint people in NZ (besides her family); it's not like they get to go to her house with her! thats a selfish, dispationate thing to say libby; we are disapointed for her not for us. it must be rather distressing for her not to be home with her family [as evidenced by her tweet that she was missing her siblings]. i hope that she planned this and is having christmas with someone else, and their family, cos i wouldnt want her alone on christmas. it would still be sad for her not to share it with her family as she always has. You should be thinking of hayley and at least trying to show some compassion for her. i hope Hayley has people to support her through this potentially difficult time speaking from my own feelings, it wouldnt be the same. christmas is christmas. the week after is just new years. NY has its own traditions and implications
