Ozzy Ozbourne? And I didn't think Music of the Night was ever sung as a duet. My Heart will Go On got overplayed here, too. "Titanic" is ancient history now, anyway. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif

The only song that I ever really liked very much by Carrie Underwood is the one that says "Love is all that matters after all... makes everything else seem so small". I don't know the title. Oh, and her version of How Great Thou Art is really nice, too. But I'd prefer to hear Hayley singing it by herself, as discussed in another thread.

Hello Libby, Perhaps the song you are talking about is SO SMALL? I looked it up since I didn't know the song...well, not anymore I don't! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifBut I feel Hayley would sound magnificent in My Heart Will Go On... Though, a duet with Celine Dion would be lovely as well! And how about John Mayer? Cheers, Anshita

wow...i didnt think that my thread would become such a hot topic Jim, Haha, well it's because it didn't strike many of us before to consider which singer/band from an entirely different genre Hayley could sing with. But indeed, its a truly interesting topic & thread. Cheers, Anshita

Has anyone heard of a Bosnian composer called Goran Bregovic, who has composed music for some of the best yugoslavian movies? He has a very interesting style, mixing classical, pop and traditional gypsy music, and has collaborated with singers like Iggy Pop, Cesaria Evora or the polish Kayah. I think Hayley would sound great in some of his most famous songs such as Ederlezi or Elo Hi. Dreams is such a beautiful song too, And, although Cesaria Evora has a very, very different voice, I wonder how Hayley would sound in Ausencia (has she ever sung in Portuguese? I don't think I've heard her do that).

There's an artist I heard of recently named David Garrett (I think) who plays classical violin, but most recently he's mixing rock with classical. I think he's from the UK somewhere (maybe Scotland), because he had an accent. I just saw him on Good Morning America, but I don't know much else about him. It might be interesting for Hayley to collaborate with a musician like him. Josh Groban once sang with Chris Botti, who plays trumpet. So maybe Hayley could do something like that too.

Yes Libby, you got it right . His name is David Garrett His latest album which has just come out is (as far as I can tell), Classical pieces, but played in a rock style (I've been listening on youtube). His album is already in my amazon basket, waiting for payday

Libby, Almost every song suggested thus far is not normally sung as a duet. that doesn't mean it can't be. And as for Ozzy as a duet partner - why not? Aren't you at least a little intrigued by the idea? His voice is rough, gravelly and almost the exact opposite of Hayley's. The result would be either mesmerising or a train wreck, but I'd be curious to know which... Alice Cooper might be interesting for the same reason but Ozzy is the better singer, so I went with him. Thinking of guys with higher voices, though, teaming Hayley up with Justin Hawkins of The Darkness might be quite intriguing. Not least because I think he sings higher than she does! Christmas Time (Don't Let The Bells End) might do for a duet song...

I came very near to using that phrase myself, Comet, yes! It just seems so fitting a description!

Sharon, Alexz Johnson's MySpace and The Pretty Reckless MySpace (IE Taylor Momsen's band). Should make finding them easy for you! As a side note, I'd never heard of Taylor M at all until I discovered her music. I think having no idea of who she was helped, though - no pre-conceptions. (Warning for the delicate: The Pretty Reckless are Hard Rock. Miss Raccoon Eyes is an awesome singer, but don't expect squeaky girl-pop because she's an actress! ) *** Failedreaper, This is fun! And with your username, I'm surprised you haven't suggested a Hayley/Blue Oyster Cult team up, yet! honestly i havent even heard of blue oyster cult...maybe i'll have to look them up and check out what they're all about

'Don't Fear The Reaper' is what you're after, failedreaper. Which Hayley would probably sound pretty awesome on...

I don't want Hayley to sing something that's a train wreck. I don't see any of these collaborations happening anytime soon, although it's interesting to see all the ideas. I thought of Dolly Parton. But I don't think they should do Jolene, because it didn't seem to suit Hayley's voice that well. The only part she sounded very strong on is the "Jolene, Jolene, Jolene, Jolene" part. Being a good singer doesn't mean every song is suited to your voice, and this one isn't. I don't think Hayley's voice sounds its best in fast songs like that, especially with kind of low (for Hayley) notes.
