Thanks, Sharon Have to admit, Angels topped my list for a reason It's probably the best ballad of modern times. As for Carrie - she has a lot of good songs, but I went with Just A Dream because it has the long notes that Hayley is so fantastic at. I kinda had a failure of imagination thinking of Hayley singing Cowboy Casanova I like many songs of Carrie Underwood, especially 'Ever ever After' from the 'Enchanted' movie. I have to say that Carrie has many high and/or long notes. Can't keep up with her! Tryin' though! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifI had to think....Cowboy Casanova, I believe 'someone' has advised me to listen to that song, though I forgot how it goes... And Anshita, I also saw that interview in which Hayley talks about Rihanna & Lady GaGa. Though I like some of their songs...it would be really funny to see Lady GaGa beside Hayley on stage...especially if GaGa is wearing that weird birds nest on her head again as she did at the Grammy's Don't know extremely lots about fashion, but that's not something I'd wear to a special event! Anshita, My Heart Will Go On was played with such constancy in Britain and over so many weeks that many of us now suffer from a visceral hatred of it! I like the idea of a Hayley/Celine duet, I must admit, but on some other song, please!

Sharon, Cowboy Casanova on Carrie's official YouTube channel. It's a superb song - arguably Carrie's best - but I pretty much agree with Anshita - it's the wrong kind of Rock for Hayley. (Which is about half agreeing with Anshita. But still! ) EDIT: your post about 'Enchanted' also reminds me that Anne Hathaway ('Ella Enchanted') can sing a bit... That might be an interesting duet...

I'm actually playing Cowboy Casanova now. Sounds really good . I think I didn't pay good attention the last time I heard it (which was months ago). Indeed a little too much rock for Hayley. Though isn't it a bit rock/country kind of a song? I hear country in it as well. The Enchanted movie I meant was with Amy Adams and Patrick Dempsey, Amy Adams also sings great! I heard her live once somewhere... I did hear Anne Hathaway sing in the Ella Enchanted movie, though as it is in a movie, it was lip sync and I'd rather hear her live before I give my opinion about that. I like her acting though! Hello,
Hahaha, perhaps not "My heart will go on" then... "Because you loved me"? Quite old, but I still enjoy it very much!! The lyrics is amazing. Surely Hayley would do amazing in it!
I know quite many songs by Carrie, and I must say shes can hit some very high notes! Though, Cowboy Casanova can be one of the best, if not the best. I really like her "undo it" as well! Uhhmehhzingg.
Though, I never knew Anne Hathaway sings as well! Cool though...
And Sharon, its an amazing song right? I believe I did send you the link quite some time ago? Or did I? I'm not sure.. And yep, its country-rock.
Cheers, Anshita

Sharon,
There is only one clip of Anne singing live I have ever seen, and sadly it is rarer than rare. Ellen DeGeneres catches her by surprise and asks her to sing live and unaccompanied on Ellen's show. Which Anne does - and sounds spectacular in the doing. I'll try to find it, but I can't promise anything...
EDIT:
Anshita,
If you want to hear Anne sing, do a YouTube search on 'Anne Hathaway Somebody To Love'. She doesn't sound too different live, but sadly you'll have to take my word for that, unless I can find the Ellen clip...

It's not my first time on the internet i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif But if you find it earlier then I do....then a little hint would be nice! Haha, yes Anshita, thats what I meant by 'Someone'... I love the song. Didn't pay full attention last time...I think I was too much Hayleywowed or something....though that's not a bad excuse at all! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifSharon*

Sharon, For all that there are actresses who really can sing (And I mean sing, not 'have released records'), the evidence for most of them in terms of live performances is sadly lacking. Including Anne. For all that she is, reputedly, a trained soprano, the compass point on her career is firmly set towards acting. Unfortunate, from my very specialised perspective, but such is life! Proof in favour of Jennifer Love Hewitt, Alexz Johnson, Taylor Momsen and Miley Cyrus is easy to come by, but then the first three are singers-turned-actresses anyway and Miley is, well, Miley!

I was about to mention the whole actor going on singing thing actually.... I know Jennifer Love Hewitt more as a good actress then as a singer. I suppose her singing career wasn't such a success worldwide, as I had never heard of her as a singer. I only once saw a bio of her on TV, in which they talked about her releasing an album. As for all actresses I think it's best to keep to acting if they don't have a 'talent' for singing. But ofcourse there are exceptions....like Hilary Duff. She seems to have a music and acting career. Though I'm not keeping up with her work as a singer, I do know she has (had) success. Though I think we're sliding off topic here...cause talking about other actresses doesn't fit in a 'Hayley' topic. There might be some moderators here whom are breathing in our necks by now Sorry guys! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifSharon*

Sharon, A mild slide, I'll grant... Though still relevant in a way, as we are discussing duet partners for Hayley. Any of the three I mentioned would be pretty good for that (In fact, as Taylor Momsen is the singer with The Pretty Reckless I have already recommended her! ) Alexz Johnson is more folk these days, and I think a duet with Hayley on 'Voodoo' would sound great. JLH has tried a number of different things, so 'pick a song' would work, there. I am pretty partial to 'Don't Push The River', though (Did I mention I have three of JLH's albums? I do! ).

Alright then.... I know Taylor Momsen from her role in 'The Grince.' I also know she plays in series like 'Gossip Girl' (Ibelieve, don't follow that show) and I knew she was in a band or something, but I haven't heard her. I should look her up. I really never heard of Alexz Johnson , though I suppose I should look up that one too...whole list now! There's another singer I would like to hear Hayley sing with - Esmee Denters... Her kind of music genre is a little 'Outta here' or should I say 'Outta Hayley' i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif Though it could be a very good combination I think. I should start looking up all these singers you mentioned. I know a lot, but these are the once I might've missed. Sharon*

yeah joanne...you got that right...and though i do agree with the fact that hayley is an amazing singer just on her own...but i have many times thought of what it would be like if she did do something as bold as doing a duet with...in my case...a metal band...its just me being my weird self lol i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif

Sharon, Alexz Johnson's MySpace and The Pretty Reckless MySpace (IE Taylor Momsen's band). Should make finding them easy for you! As a side note, I'd never heard of Taylor M at all until I discovered her music. I think having no idea of who she was helped, though - no pre-conceptions. (Warning for the delicate: The Pretty Reckless are Hard Rock. Miss Raccoon Eyes is an awesome singer, but don't expect squeaky girl-pop because she's an actress! ) *** Failedreaper, This is fun! And with your username, I'm surprised you haven't suggested a Hayley/Blue Oyster Cult team up, yet!
