That's a pretty decent version If we were Katherine's fans as much as we are of Hayley, we'd have been like "OMG BEST DUET EVER"....yes it's pretty good for a present singer to be over-layed on a previous recording of another singer. But wait this is Hayley's song more than Katherine's, that's sad, judging by her earlier performances, it'd have definitely been better than this version. But you can't judge Hayley's performances by her earlier performances anymore, so I'm not even sure if it'd have been better than this KJ version.

Beleive me, it would have been better. Hayley is a vocal genius. KJ is just a very good singer.

Well done Dame Vera! I saw the duet with Katherine Jenkins when I watched the D-Day concert at the cinema live from the Royal Albert Hall (I think you can still listen to it on Radio 2 iplayer). I was pretty good, but I think it would have been better if it was Hayley instead her version was much, much better. I don't think KJ's voice compliments Vera's anywhere near as well as Hayley does, but it was nevertheless good, and for a really special cause of course. My mum said it would have been better if they had just shown Dame Vera's version and not had KJ there at all haha Sing

Sorry, don't rate it. Not when compared with Hayley's rendition at the Albert Hall a few years ago. KJ's voice just doesn't sound right for this to my ears. I have friends who say KJ's voice is not what it used to be, and I'm also told that her rendition at Soccer Aaid this weekend was not great, even though I'm told it was mimed. Time to put Hayley back where she belongs, your No. 1 singer Decca. Hayley could do better than that singing in the bathroom!

Oh, and I think Decca, that I'd make Laura Wright your No.2 after Hayley. Has me wondering what sort of job Laura would make of "We'll Meet Again"

Hi everyone, As we remember the 70th. anniversary of VE Day (8 May 1945) this weekend, to celebrate the end of World War 2 in Europe, Dame Vera Lynn is once again in the news. She is now 98 and has difficulty walking, so has been unable to attend the public events but she has done interviews and there are many articles about her. Here is the Daily Mirror's report: VE Day: Dame Vera Lynn on why we must always remember the heroes of the Second World War And here is a reminder of Hayley's tribute to Dame Vera at the Royal Albert Hall in 2009, it's hard to believe that it was nearly 6 years ago! Cheers, Dave

Hi everyone, As we know from this thread, there will be on March 18th. a charity concert in celebration of Dame Vera's 100th. birthday (March 20th.) and in support of her children's charity. No doubt this will get more media mentions in the time between now and then and of course, Hayley will take part. Additionally, the BBC has just announced that they are producing a 100th. birthday tribute documentary to be broadcast on BBC2 TV on a date still to be announced. There is no mention of Hayley at this time but here are the details so far known: www.bbc.co.uk/mediacentre/mediapacks/arts2017/bbc-two#heading-happy-100th-birthday-dame-vera-lynn-1-x-60I look forward to this, should be good whether or not Hayley is included! Cheers, Dave
