Richard's post (#27) from New York Times (02/09/06) together with celticmeav's post on the HW Official Forum (this morning): www.shorefire.com/artists/celticwoman/pr_celticwoman_09_05_06.htmlboth seem to emphasize the words "joining Celtic Woman", suggesting future rather than just present (Slane Castle concert). Can we expect a move from London to Dublin in the new year?

Can we expect a move from London to Dublin in the new year? Hi drew, From what I know, Celtic Woman is a collection of five individuals - all with their own careers - who came together for a PBS Special in the US last year and subsequently have done some touring based on the show (released as a DVD and CD). Hayley is better known than the individual members of CW outside the US and as there is overlap between in Hayley's music and that of CW, it seems to make sense for them to collaborate. Hopefully, this will improve Hayley's visibility in the US and CW's visibility in some other countries such as the UK. I have no inside knowledge on this, but it would seem to make perfect sense for Hayley to join CW in their future tours based on the new PBS show and DVD - where it does not interfere with her solo commitments. This would especially apply in the US, i would think... but I guess we'll have to wait and see. Hayley "joining Celtic Woman" will not - I think - be anything like joining Amici Forever (or The Spice Girls!) would have been and I'm sure she won't be moving to Dublin... most of her work is and will be elsewhere and it will be interesting to see how much of it is with CW. Cheers, Dave

HI everybody!,yes that's right, the 5 girls of "Celtic Woman" are separate artists, they have separate CD's & carreers...I 've been checking out "Mairead Nesbitt"(the violin player),she has a great website@ www.maireadnesbitt.com/"Hayley" looked really great on the PBS speical,it was aired in my area for most of the month of january. It just kept getting to me,so I looked Hayley up on the internet & found tons of great stuff of her. Edit: I fixed the link by shortening it. Richard

Hi purehayleyfan1 and welcome to the HWI Forum. I am amazed that the PBS special was shown so many times in one area. No doubt that leads to more pledges being made for the DVD and it obviously increases the chances or performers like Hayley being seen. So everyone is happy. It is hoped that the forthcoming CW tour will help Hayley to become much better known in the States. You seem to be living proof that the plan is working! There is certainly a lot of information about Hayley on the internet. We have well over 3000 pages on our site alone. That should keep you busy for a while! Don't forget to come back and tell us what you think. Best wishes, Roger

Hi Roger!...yes this site is one of the best about Hayley I've found & her official site, well it comes back up as a full site again.yeah, the PBS special started showing about the last weekend of dec '06 & just ending showing about last week.so off & on it was shown during that time, along with a "DO-WOP" show........Hayley was the one who really caught my eye,and her singing seem the best of them all. Then I started liking Mairead's violin playing......now i'm wishing I could see it again & maybe try to video tape it. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif
