Yeah; I didn't like the interview. Martha didn't let Orla finish her sentence! I'm pretty sure Orla was told she would have only a few seconds to reply, and that's why she talked so fast. When I first heard her, I thought her speech wasn't natural - as if she had learned it by heart.

Hello folks! I noticed Martha said Celtic Woman were five Irish ladies. She could at least have mentioned that Hayley is from New Zealand. (The smiley is for Martha!) Richard

Hi, The video in reply #20 is from the CBS Early Show, I recorded the show and when I looked I thought CW management made Hayley look like Meav, but then I listened and it is Meav! Now I wonder who will be in the New York Shows? I guess CW management will explain someday............TimJ

Woops - sorry for the mistake, thanks for pointing this out, Tim! This show was probably pre-recorded when Meav was still with the group. Hayley will definitely be there at all the NYC shows.

Hello again everybody.
Having watched the clips several times now, I don't think this TV appearance has done anything to raise Hayley's profile in the USA. No mention was made of her being from New Zealand, she wasn't given a chance to speak, and her singing voice did not come over at all. I sincerely hope Hayley will get the chance to perform some of her own songs from 'Celtic Treasure' on TV while she is over there.
I'm going to be honest here. Much as I love the 'Celtic Woman - A New Journey' DVD, my enthusiasm for Celtic Woman as a group has nose-dived since I've been listening to 'Treasure', and this TV appearance hasn't helped. I'm really looking forward to seeing Hayley performing her new material as a soloist now, hopefully accompanied by Fiona Pears and Ian Tilley.
Best Wishes,
Richard

Hi everyone, Very interesting thoughts, Richard. I've been a fan of CW for quite some time now (I discovered Hayley thanks to the group) and I basically feel the same way than you do. I can know clearly say that I would prefer Hayley performing her own work, her own songs, her own music. As an artist, she is much more accomplished alone. I'm not saying she doesn't sound good in a group, but she's just way better performing on her own. If you asked me several weeks ago to pick a ticket either for a CW concert (featuring Hayley) or a Hayley concert, I would have chosen the first option. Now I know it's definitely the second one, especially if it's new material from "Celtic Treasure". i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif

Richard Hi Richard, What I admire about HW in this is that she is a team player.... for someone to be out there singing on there own and all of sudden not be the center of things show alot of humility I think. Pretty good! Actually Martha was right because Hayley springs from an IRELAND i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifbest, Peter T
