The Last Rose of Summer – Sung by Maev but for the first few bars I thought it was Hayley (I had to check again the sleeve notes and am still not convinced. Unless my hearing is failing me I think this is a duet. Someone put me out of my misery!!). A beautiful song and one of my favourites on the album. Absolutely, Martin. It is a duet - the sleeve notes forgot to mention Hayley. She's starting the song, than Meav is following on the second verse, and they finish together. Many thanks for the great review!

Hi Martin Thanks for the review, very well done I thought I havn't got the cd, but I do have the dvd. I agree largely with your comments, particularly regarding some of the tracks being "easy listening". For me though, watching the girls sing while listening, with the fantastic back drop of the castle, the lighting etc, takes some of the focus off the songs, making the whole performance an all round enjoyable experience. Just my own personal view but you may enjoy the dvd more I also love the dvd to actually see Hayley doing something different to her normal type of performance. Best wishes Mark.

Thanks for your excellent review, Martin! I haven't bought the CD yet, although I probably will eventually. I can thoroughly recommend the live DVD, and I get the feeling you will prefer it to the CD when you see it. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifBest Wishes, Richard

I totally see why America has their own version of Treasure. Aside from the name, look how similar the two covers look when put side by side: Very clever technique they used...I'm quite impressed, actually. Dori

"The Last Rose of Summer" Wow such a beautiful duet! It is also an amazing duet with Chloe when I saw them in concert (oops a little off topic here) The album is wonderful, but I do agree the DVD gives a little extra Meldy
