Not sure if everyone has seen this video, but I only recently found it, and have been hoping for many years if somebody had recorded more of this song, and there you go! Not the best quality, but gives you the full song : D Here's DULAMAN BY HAYLEY WESTENRA! And she rocks it! www.youtube.com/watch?v=0un1Kqu1kaoJust "watched" the video, the sound is reasonable, I was waiting for someone to perform You Raise me up with the camera and get Hayley in shot, but it didn't happen, not even for a second, It made me smile, I have recorded worse videos than that, with accidental camera rolls through 90 degrees, accidental zooms until only a few square inches of fabric on Hayley's dress was showing or just the ceiling above Hayley or some detail in the background, Yep ! I have recorded worse all right, but any recording is better than no recording of the event at all, so cheers to whoever did record it anyway.

I agree Comet, I have made worse ones too. They don't usually see the light of day though. Or if they do, they are hidden away in secret places only known to those I tell about them. But yes, you are torn when you have a poor recording of a unique performance for sure.

Hi Richard, I can't see this through YouTube now. Does the imbedding have anything to do with it, aside from it's being disabled by the owner? BobS

Hello Bob! The video should play on YouTube if you click on the YouTube icon at the bottom of the frame. I've added a note where I embedded it in your previous post. Richard

I've seen announcements of former CW members guest starring in some of the shows for the 10th anniversary reuninon. No mention of Hayley. I have to wonder if this isn't one of the things Hayley said (somewhere, can't remember) that she has had to say "No" to. It would be nice to see her appear with CW again, but right now, I'm more interested in her album, so I don't mind if she misses it because of that.

I wish there was a complete video of Hayley singing Dulaman. I think I prefer her singing it to Meav. It would have been a good song for her to record or incorporate with her Celtic Treasure concerts.

I always loved Meav's version of Dulaman, and Meav has the advantage of speaking Gaelic. But I would like to hear a better recording of Hayley doing it.

I wish there was a complete video of Hayley singing Dulaman. I think I prefer her singing it to Meav. It would have been a good song for her to record or incorporate with her Celtic Treasure concerts. I think you missed out my video, which is the full recording of the song I'd say both Meav's and Hayley's are equally good, different style to the song, like somebody on Youtube said, Meav was very angelic at the song, but Hayley acts it out, like it's a conversation, which is great. But the best version of this song has to be from Lisa Lambe: Easily the most talented singer Celtic woman ever had along with Chloe. My dream Celtic woman would be Chloe and Meav(for the sweet, slightly husky high notes), Lisa Lambe (for her crisp, mid(alto) range vocals), and then finally Hayley Westenra, who's the only one who can give that edge to any vocal ensemble with her crystal clear, laser sharp notes. In all of the Celtic woman performances with Hayley, her voice seems to be really essential in drawing the circle, it completes them, and I could distinctly here all her parts without it dominating the others vocals. But Lisa Lambe definitely adds more meat to the group in terms of vocal roundness.

And regarding the CW appearance, I wouldn't mind if her new album is delayed slightly to accommodate for a Celtic woman tour, because the album will eventually get released, but if it isn't for something as grand as a 10th anniversary tour, I don't see Hayley collaborating with them so much for anything else, And it'd be nice when meav's around too, They could perform that "Last rose of summer" again. It's interesting to note that with the new girls, everyone 'replaced' some singer, as in Lisa Lambe takes Meav's parts and sings her solos like Dulaman, and then we have Susan McFadden in the place of Lisa Kelly singing The Voice, Caledonia and everything else, and so on. But, Hayley's songs, Lascia Chio pianga, Scarborough fair, and Last rose of summer were never sung again! That's actually something! Obviously no one else can sing Scarborough fair like Hayley did, which was the most popular Scarborough fair video as well as Celtic woman video until they took it down for some copyright issues and another uploader later uploaded and the view counts didn't come up as much. Anyway, I'd really want to hear Hayley sing some of these songs and new songs WITH Celtic woman, and certainly with the sound they're going as an ensemble, she can't sing those songs the way she's singing now There's somebody she has to work under(David) to get the right sound for these songs, and I'd definitely be thrilled to hear that again.

You might not mind, Simba, but this album has been too long coming. Her time with CW may have been 8 years ago, but so was her last true "Hayley" album, as far as I'm concerned (one whose theme was not suggested to her, but one she came up with herself).
I don't know what Hayley's schedule is this year, but I feel pretty certain that there are no CW tour dates that include Hayley. I already saw one announcement about Alex and Lynn being on certain dates, but no mention of Hayley. Most likely because she's not participating.

Mhmm, yes that is true, but isn't it coincidental that she toured with Celtic Woman at the time of Treasure's release? She got to sing some of those songs with the group, and of-course touring in America, you know how much it helped Hayley. Many people know Hayley because of the Celtic woman. And the 10th anniversary tour is a big thing, if she had timed her album release and the tour, it'd have just been right. David Downes(Celtic woman guy) helped her a bit with Treasure, I think that man's a genius. There's more good to come out of touring with Celtic woman no matter the compromises, for Hayley. We've waited this long, and if it's going to cost a few months for a tour with Celtic woman, then well worth it. But like you said, not likely to happen, and if Hayley turned it down, then too bad, I do sincerely hope she does collaborate sometime in the future.

Sorry, Simba, you're a little late. Their tour of the US is already going on, and as I mentioned, I only saw Alex & Lynn's name mentioned... or Meav's too, I think. Hayley's was not. Hayley is still only working on her album now, probably hasn't really recorded yet, or if so, not everything, and no photo shoots/videos have been made. No sense in rushing anything. celticwoman.com/tour-dates/I've said this many times throughout the years: I'm very grateful for the impact the CW involvement had on Hayley's US career. I would have been delighted if Hayley had been able to return for a few shows, particulary in Seattle. But obviously, this is not working out this year, and frankly, I'm not sorry for it. I think it is a coincidence that she toured with them just when she happened to have a slightly Celtic album; she made this album because of her grandmother and her Irish background. I remember reading an article in a local paper when she toured here with Il Divo, that she was already working on an album with Celtic themes and songs that came from her upbringing, etc. If anything, Celtic Treasure was made because of CW, not the original Treasure (Water is Wide & Scarborough Fair, which are only on Celtic Treasure, were originally on Odyssey). She heard of CW when she was in Canada, and became interested, and (I think) was invited to join. But it was never intended to be a long-term thing, and I'm pretty sure the album was already made at this point (though I don't know for sure; I was not following her career much at this point, and it's been a while since I read anything about this). Somebody correct me if I have my facts wrong, but I'm pretty sure CW was not the inspiration for her album.
